I don't understand, did he make the posters? or did he resize them?

By the looks of things, they're resized, cleaned up and remastered versions of the original box and poster artwork.

Nope. Read the article. He made them, but used artwork from the time to do it. There was no Star Wars graphic adventure from Lucasarts so there was no original box art work to resize, remaster, ect..

You read the article. That picture is a day of the tentacle poster using the Star Wars motif. They are posters, "most based on original artwork lifted from an era...". If you visit the link, look at the pictures, and know at least a few of the games, you'll see that what he has done is some fantastic touch up work on original artwork from boxes and that sort of thing, enlarging the art and removing logos, trimmings and small print where necessary to produce a high dpi, super large poster sized image. I grabbed the Sam and Max one for myself, and the detail is so perfectly matching of the original art I find it hard to believe he repainted it, but seeing I own the box still I can definitely say it's not original art by him. It must have taken a lot of work, and was a true labour of love, but original creations they are not.

W00t! I loved those games growing up. That was when storytelling was king. Don't get me wrong, today's games are great. I don't want to go back to EGA graphics or anything like that. But, I do miss the narrative and humor of the old Lucasarts classics.

If anyone wants to print a big version on the (relatively) cheap, try this out:

These are awesometastic. I'll print one out big and frame it properly. And then force the missus to let me put it on the living room wall.

i discovered these back in September when we were opening our offices at Untold Entertainment Inc. Now we have sweet Monkey Island 1 and 2 posters on the wall. Haven't hung the Sam n' Max poster yet.

And the Dig? Well ... we took a pass on that one.
