ESA will have to rent another convention center if Blizzard attends this year.

Nah, it just means there would be no Kentia Hall in the way all past E3 attendees loved and knew it.

How so? Their products are already some of the most anticipated games of all time, Diablo 3 is like pre-pre-pre-alpha and still polished as hell (going by the Blizzcon build), and not going to E3 they A.) can focus on, y'know, making their games instead of grudgingly putting together a fresh demo build and B.) won't have to make a "new announcement" that takes away the impact of anything they'd say at WWI/Blizzcon.

It's not just skipping E3 that makes me think the way I do. I was one of the early Diablo testers. Still have my characters even though I haven't played it online in years. Same with D2. Over the years, Bliz has started to distance itself from it's customers. As they've become larger, they've started adopting more and more of the "we're a god who doesn't need puny mortals" complex.

In this day of large corps suddenly collapsing (sure some KNEW they were in trouble), it should be especially important to do anything you can to drive business. Going elitist is never the answer.

I could be wrong. Maybe being dissed and not being allowed to test D3 has jaded my view. However, I did finally succumb to warcrack. Although, it's no where near as good as the hundreds of players I've talked to say it is.

Just another journalist who has deliberately spun all the negative angles possible into a story to sway public opinion against a company that he must have some kind of personal grudge against. Don't let your opinions be swayed so easily; Blizzard is one of the better companies out there, and we could stand to have more like them.

not exactly surprising considering Blizzard has had its own CONVENTION for a while now, and can basically captivate and entire country (Korea for you slow people) by announcing minuscule changes to a game that hasn't been released yet.

What sense does it make to pay to go to someone's convention when you can get people to pay to come to yours? Not to mention all the press they get from Blizzcons and whatnot.
