Robert "Fourzerotwo" Bowling, director of communications and community manager at Infinity Ward, has updated his Twitter feed with word that he's been reviewing voice-over from Modern Warfare 2. As in the sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that Activision still hasn't properly announced.
Bowling's tweet reads, "Reviewing some radio-chatter VO we just finished recording for Modern Warfare 2 today. 'Cujo Two-One this is Vulture, solid copy on all.'" As you may remember, Heroes actor Ken Lally got into hot water for talking about VO he was doing for the game late last month.
And so the saga of one of gaming's most recent Worst Kept Secrets continues. Oh, and Activision, it goes like this: official announcement in the spring, magazine cover and first look event shortly thereafter, full reveal at E3. That one's on the house.

Every time I see that title makes me want to cringe. I mean fraking 2 sequel numbers?? WTF?? Seriously is it so hard to come up with titles? Jeez, I mean these guys are so good with their stuff but cant name a game, they have to muddle it with titles.
Jeez, how about dropping the 4 on that.

well maybe they will do what they did with World at War. other than this obviously being a mock-up (and a bad one lol) i would bet they would name it Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. World at War isn't called CoD5, so it makes sense that they would do it this way.

Whats in a name? A COD Modern Warfare by any other name would be just as sweet...

I really liked the campaign for Modern Warfare allot. I'm not a big fan of Call Of Duty compeitive multiplayer because it's to run and gun for my tastes. When I think of the epitmoe of an awesome competitive multiplayer experience I think of Battlefield Bad Company. That game had an awesome assortment of weapons, massive wide open battlefields, selectable spawn points, balanced vehicles and the great satisfaction of stealing someones dog tags.
I'm not saying that Call Of Duty is a bad online experience but for me it's to much of a run and gun scenario. It just seems like no matter what happens 1-2 shots and you die. This is the same for World At War.
I really enjoyed the campaign in Modern Warfare but not so much in World At War but it wasn't awful. My favorite part in Modern Warfar was when you where in the sky looking down in that different perspective (nightvision?) and you got to drop the bombs and shoot the gun. That was way better than W@W and the fighter plane when you had to pick up soldiers.
Modern Warfare 2 will be a great addition to my library. I just wish they would do a future warfare version of the franchise. Also, enough with the WW2 era games already Treyarch. The flamethrower was cool but that was about it.

Johnny, you should try the Hardcore mode in COD 4 and COD W@W, if you don't like to "run and gun".

I try to like the CoD series but I find it kind of average. It's a bit of run-and-gun-fun while it lasts, but I was never really impressed with the story or characters (I still can't figure out which character is using Keifer Sutherland's voice, it seems his voice is disembodied telling me where to go). Plus I'm just not a fan of infinitely respawning bad guys I guess.

They don't infinitely respawn do they? Maybe... i dunno. You probably stood in one spot for too long.

Rud - on vet there are choke points and the etc that have infinite respawning enemies. The only way to stop it is to "run-and-gun" your way through them to get to the next part/stop them from spawning.
I agree that those parts are stupid and are the only reason I haven't beat half of veteran mode. :\
