Yes, Criterion is making yet another add-on pack for Burnout Paradise, but we're not complaining. The developer has revealed that its next premium content release will be the "Cops and Robbers Pack," which shouldn't come as a surprise to attentive Joystiq readers, seeing as we dug up evidence of its existence late last month.
According to Burnout Paradise's in-game "Criterion Games Network," the DLC is "slotting in soon after the Party Pack, Legendary Cars, Toy Cars and Boost Specials," and is "dedicated to bringing the thrills and spills of cops and robbers car chases in Paradise City." Police pursuits haven't been a part of the series since Burnout 2: Point of Impact, or three games and about a thousand Burnout Paradise updates ago.
Owners of the PS3 and PC versions of Burnout Paradise can check out screens of the DLC via the in-game browser. Sorry, 360 fans -- you'll have to wait until Monday, February 9 when Criterion has promised to post them in "stunning high resolution" on its site.

With all the premium stuff coming out, the updates may end up costing more than the original game! I'm not complaining, though.

Well I wouldn't pay anymore than $10, since I got the game for $20.

I go through phases with Burnout: Paradise where I play a lot and then not at all - and every time I do that, the next time I come back there's more content. It's awesome.

one BIG question: they announced the different cars, and the party pack are premium content prices for the cars yet to be said but that is besides the point. The other thing they announced along with the premium content is the new Island. It was not packed together another the premium content umbrella(i think could be wrong), so it is free or paid??

I wonder how this mode will work, I never played the first two Burnouts. I imagine it'd be similar to marked man.

Quit your complaining, 360 gets everything exclusive(fall out 3 dlc :-( ). Now that we get one developer that wants to support us you want to complain. Shame on you.

Funny enough, I was playing Burnout Legends the other day and found it to be a much nicer game. Same thing with WipEout, I prefer Pure over HD.

This is going to be great. Burnout is sick. I just wish they would add a traditional race mode and the game would be the best racer ever.

Don't sweat it that much, 360 owners.
I installed the update yesterday, and as mentioned on Criterion's site, the in-game preview of the new content isn't working anyway. The browser launches, but the site isn't responding.

Whats the difference between police chase and the other chase mode in the game? I dont think theres much difference except the car you drive or whoevers chasing is a police car.

This is great! More updates, its the only game I own that has had so many updates fore players, Great job Criterion. I wish more game publishers would service customers like this. I can't wait for the cops addition, it should be fun. I am hoping you can play either with OR without the cops.
