Well, that showed absolutely nothing about the game. But I guess it doesn't really matter cause I already sold my wii.

It was worthless.

So like, are they going for this more generic (not meant in a bad way) look for the turtles instead of the CG movie turtles look that we saw in those pictures from like last week? Because this look for them definitely looks much, much better, and then they wouldn't have to adapt older characters like Baxter Stockman and Rat King into some kid friendly style.

Oh that's right, this is a Wii exclusive (or is it Wii and DS?). Forgot to adjust my expectations accordingly.

You're exactly right. It would be much better on the Commodore 64. We should all pay attention to you, because your comments about The Last Ninja and the Great Giana Sister remain cogent and astute.

Well, this is exactly opposite of that.

funny how opinions work, because i felt the exact opposite as you (mostly because i dislike the artistic turn they took for Street Fighter IV)

This was posted by agoaj in the comments section of this video on GameTrailers:

"The fight at the end is taken from the Rough House Fight Test they used to proto the fight between Raph and Leo in the 2007 movie. Not made for the game at all, just something they through in the trailer for some flair."

Amazing...

Wut?

I should be kinda excited. But that looked retarded. Isn't the point of teasing us with pre-rendered animation to at least trick us into thinking the actual in-game stuff COULD look "that" cool...?

And to me, that does look like the style from the CG movie—scratch that: it IS the style from the movie...

No gameplay?

And I really don't like how they're unashamedly "ripping off" Smash Bros., or rather, trying to ride on its (well deserved) wave of popularity.

I have a feeling this game won't be very well accepted in the gaming community, and probably won't be nearly as good a game as Smash Bros. anyway.

But, again, I've seen no gameplay in motion yet, and that's what matters.

And Ubisoft sees the excitement meter for this game drop shortly after releasing the trailer... sad... I bet a lot of people were curious about this game but a trailer like that (horrible PRE RENDERED animation and no gameplay?! who authorized that?!) completely kills excitement.

Not according to statistics. Wii software totals are way up, and EA has committed to proportional Wii support (50% market, 50% software). Others will follow, because pretty much everyone is in the hole, except for Ubisoft, and they've already made their commitment

Considering this trailer has no gameplay whatsoever and I probably will not buy said game anyway, lets talk about something good, like Lunar. I love that game, still have my copy, and apparently, Wikipedia tells me that it was the second best selling game for the Sega CD. True story. (I think... it is wikipedia)

Hello.
Hi.
May I ask you a few questions about the new TMNT Smash Brothers-like fighting game trailer?
Sure.
Are you going to purchase this game?
No.
Why?
Because I saw the one minute teaser trailer online.
Well isn't that a little fast?
What do you mean?
Well, you don't know anything about the game.
So.
Yeah but, You haven't seen any actual gameplay footage.
So.
Don't you wanna try the game out first, before you make up your mind?
No.
Why?
Because the trailer sucked monkey balls!
Yeah but, it was just a teaser trailer. You know, Promotion.
*Shrugs*
The game could turn out good. Remember, it's still early in development. Things could change.
Who cares! I saw the trailer already and I don't like the game. OK!
Ok. You don't have yell.

Remember when Ubisoft used to come up with their own ideas for games, instead of ripping off Nintendogs, Brain Age, now Smash Bros, and their older Prince of Persia games?

Smash Bros is one of those games that needs to be ripped off, though. Someone needs to put the fun back into fighting games, anyway, and the TMNT universe is easily exploitable to this end

Eh, it certainly isn't what we looked for. Considering that there are gameplay screens floating around out there, i don't think it would have been too much to ask for realtime footage

Its not like this is a game that is far, far off either. Legend has it at September, somewhat past the time to be doing teasers, i think.

You know, far be it for me to say we don't need more heroes in a half-shell, but instead of the Brawl-style gameplay that they're going with, I think I would have much preferred a 4-player co-op, side-scroller like the old arcade game.

Anyone else?

(PS - They need to release the old X-Men Arcade game on XBLA/PSN/WiiWare or any platform.)
