Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 swoops onto game consoles everywhere later this year. In it, characters from the pages of your favorite funny-books will band together in teams and fuse power like never before. The latest trailer for MUA2 shows off some of the special fusion techniques players can expect. Ignite a tornado formed by Storm as the Human Torch, deflect Iron Man's energy blasts as Wolverine; combine any ability to create devastating attacks in battle versus evil-doers.
So far, the game looks interesting. What doesn't look even remotely interesting is Iron Man's character model. He looks like a hobo who uses the box he lives in as his suit to fight crime. Check out the trailer after the break.

Was that the Wii version that you were excited by because that trailer had some serious issues with jaggies. I loved the first one but I tell you what, that trailer made me less excited for it. The Wolverine cutscene earlier in the week has made me seriously think about that game though.

HAHA @ Wolverine when he puts his blades up like he's putting up the middle finger...
Game looks pretty slick...can't wait to play it despite never finishing the first.

No I had rented it and gotten about half way through and then I bought it just before I sold my xbox so again never finished, then when I got my second xbox about a year later It came with it in the combo with Forza and I had to restart it and only got about the same way through and got bored, recently sold that xbox as well. I'm just not into the Xbox, no matter how much I try to be. I may pick it up on PS3 if I find it cheap.

Wait... Deadpool was in the first one?
Now I actually have a reason to play the copy that came with my 360...
Anyways... My original post was kind of a reference to how "everything" in the "HD era" is brown and grey... Where's Cap's blue?! He's supposed to represent America, right? Well, America's colors are red, white, and blue... not brown, white, and grey...

Creepy that you spent an actual 10 minutes of doing such a thing.

Now the question is... what system am I getting this on?
...also: I never really see the use of putting Mr. Fantastic in these games. If he can't do half of the things he does in the comics and cartoons, why focus on him so much?
It'd be nice if he could slingshot enemies.

The Hulk is in the trailers, so I assume there would have to be some WWH stuff, since Hulk was off-world during the Civil War.
Of course, from what I understand the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance was in it's own dimension, and not the mainstream 616 or Ultimate universes, so this may be THAT universe's version of Civil War, without the Hulk having been shot into space.
`Should be interesting, either way.

Most likely a compilation of whatevers on the PC they're developing both versions on.
I think it's pretty safe to say that it doesn't really matter what version was shown. It's all going to be superheroes bathing in awesomeness and HDR lighting.

Really? People want to play as Bleedball? Next people will be asking for clone Thor, Skrull Jarvis or Maria Hill. If they want to make *me* happy, give me Sakaarson/Worldbreaker Hulk with the power boost.

The first game had 4 player online co-op so I'm pretty sure this sequel will be the same.

I hate that overmuscled Luke Cage model, but I like the fact that they've decided to to Silver Age hero modeling for the cutscenes (except Iron Man -- why winghead Thor and not the classic red and gold suit for Iron Man?) this time.
If Dr. Strange is in it I'll be ecstatic, but Luke Cage is enough to get me a sale. Despite some uneven control I really liked the first one on the Wii -- I'm playing through it for the sixth time now with Luke Cage leading my Defenders team.

You should have added "No pun intended" to your post. lol
Seriously though, is this Civil War thingy really that big of a deal? This is a serious question as I don't read comics. Thanks.
