A video is making the rounds on the internet supposedly confirming the existence of Dead Rising 2. The video makes reference to the events of the first game, also noting that a drug has been created to halt the spread of the zombie disease. We're guessing said drug wasn't too effective, as the video then moves on to showcase a casino / hotel environment filled with zombies. The video also mentions a discovery of some sort by Isabella Keyes, a lead character from the first game. Finally, was that a giant hamster ball?
Is this the first official confirmation of Dead Rising 2? We've contacted both the YouTube user who uploaded the video and Capcom for comment. In the meantime, let's not forget that Keiji Inafune himself stated the game was in the works during a (supposedly mistranslated) interview with Famitsu just last week. Lol, Casino!?! Vegas? That is undeniably sick. I can see the zombie showgirls and strippers, lol. The characters they can make in that place: Siegfried and Roy go bat-insane and release their tigers on you? lol, if this is real I am a raving fan foaming at the mouth
im definitely not playing dead rising 2.. got all the way to the end of the first game and saved at the wrong place. needed to complete one more mission before time ran out and theres never time to complete it.
id have to play all the way through it agian to finish the game and im not doing that. same way mass effect screwed me out of the asari companion achievement 3 times cause i did 1 mission too many on the citadel before picking her up.
dead space was ok but not good enough for me to play twice..
Pause the video @ 58 seconds. There is a 2 in the middle-top of the screen for a hair of a second. Aside from that it looks pretty convincing to be real.
The only two things that make me think it might be fake is the horrible voice over quality of the male newcaster and the fact that the YouTube tags say "Fake", "Wii" and "PSP".
...although I'd love a properly done Dead Rising for the Wii :(
