it's about freaking time, I had to buy the Wii version which while its great kinda sucks on the control front (8 player requires 4 GC controls :S), and definately sucks on the online aspects.

7 is a bit of an odd number, why not go up to the full 8 players?

yea PS3 supports 7 controllers natively. i dont know why they wouldnt just only make the game support 6 players though in that case though since 7 is an odd number. oh well, the more the merrier.

The PS3 can only do 7 players at one. Just the way it is native (I can't be bothered to looked up the technical explanation). This is really great because back in 2008 when it was first announced they had only 4 players offline multiplayer. The addition of 3 more players is very key (especially for my parties). I'm really excited for this PSN game. Still can't beat Saturn Bomberman and 10 players at once!

Hmmm...now the question is should I spring for this PSN version or just purchase the DLC for the XBLA version I currently have...

if the DLC version is cheaper, go with the XBLA version. that's a no brainer. cant think of any advantage you would have to rebuying it on PS3 as well if you have it on 360 already.

STFU Corn. Get the PS3 version, since it includes the DLC AND has 7 people multiplayer. Much better.

Meh I've never been into Bomberman, but I'll buy this if it's 10 bucks or less on PSN

"Bomberman isn't Bomberman if it isn't done in that classic 2D, top-down style."

Call me crazy, but I really enjoyed the side view, single player only, Pocket Bomberman for Game Boy. Jump Mode is wicked fun.

It's great the Bman is finally coming to PSN, but Hudson could definitely do better. Bomberman LIVE is the worst "traditional" entry in the series, IMO.

hopefully they'll return the remote det, punch and kick power-ups to their original (pre bomberman live) instant responsiveness.

There is one exception to straying from the forumla, in my opinion: Bomberman 64. Multiplayer wasn't as good, but the single-player was a fantastic action/adventure game. Highly recommended.

I second this, though my friends and I had a hell of a lot of fun with B64's multiplayer mode back in the day. I certainly missed the original's style of multiplayer in comparison, but it was fun for what it was worth. Music was pretty damn cool too.

Finally! A bomberman on the PS again. First day purchase (as long as there's nothing wrong with it).

glad they make it to the PS3 platform. Bomberman DS is one of the best party games I've played so far.
