Velvet Assassin box art is explosive, leathery

click to experience enlargementSouthpeak Games and Replay Studios' Velvet Assassin has been taking the whole stealth concept a bit too literal, remaining quiet about game specifics and release date details. But that doesn't mean the box art has to stay hidden. Viewable here, the packaging artwork is one part BOOM!, equal part black leather and a dash of average.

We're also informed that our good friend Peter Chung (who really isn't our pal, but we fantasize to be our drinking buddy) partnered with SouthPeak by putting together a 15+ page graphic novel that will be gifted to those who pre-order Velvet Assassin at GameStop. Chung will also contribute to the game's sure to be sexually charged storyline.

Did we mention this game remains too stealth for our liking?

Does anyone really care about this game? Seeing how I'm the only poster here, I'm guessing no.

I do, I've got it preordered from Amazon.ca already. Won't bother with EB/Gamestop, I think the sample images from the graphic booklet look stupid. Hell the chick looks borderline retarded!

Or maybe because its Saturday, not as many people are checking in all the time?

I for sure care about this game. I want some more information, but I remember that video that was out awhile ago and it looks pretty good. Plus that box art pretty much sold me, unless its total garbage. But I hope not, because this has great potential.

I don't check all the time either....

Well, maybe I should have said no cares about this game. Truthfully, I'm a little bit interested in the setting but unless there is a demo to let me try it out, this is probably going to be a rental.

I like my share of Sexy-babe-main-character games, so I'll keep an eye on this. Bullet Witch wasn't a good start, tho. And yeah, we need more info. Can't tell much about the game as it is.

I enjoy Bullet Witch. :(

Oh, that's right, Onechanbara. Isn't that a really old japanese 360 game? Looks definetely sexy, tho.

Oh, and there's X-Blades too.

When are we going to see some more gameplay? I was really hoping this would fill the void till SC's new one but man that last vid was just HORRIBLE.
