well, if I could vote (or when I can), MNC gets my click.
Once again, I didn't read past 3 panels of Hiimdaisy's.
Its a bit dated but I will also submit this for your viewing pleasure, oh dear reader;

also, thank you for turning me towards a series that I otherwise would never have found
Thatoneguy64 @ Feb 8th 2009 2:20AM
An Extra Life spin-off comic? As if the original didn't insult our intelligence enough...
Courtney @ Feb 8th 2009 2:46AM
Wow, after reading through some of the archive of that, I have to say that I find myself more depressed than anything. It conveys a message of futility and time wasted, days and moments that can't be reclaimed. That might be the first gaming comic that made me wish, even for a moment, that I wasn't a gamer.
alienmastermind @ Feb 8th 2009 9:31AM
Good stuff!
Though, some of the jokes are pretty obvious. And that's because I did comics on the same subject lines with pretty much the same punches as I did so. But, overall a well drawn, and funny comic.
Though they're a bit obsessed with World of Warcraft, no?
Alienmastermind.
MNC Dover @ Feb 8th 2009 12:12AM
Alright, made the poll this week. Cool!
If I wasn't so obviously biased, I'd vote for Penny-Arcade this week. Those "Islam is the Light" stories were so painfully embarrassing to read.
SoulBlade @ Feb 8th 2009 12:18AM
The Calvin and Hobbes call was a money decision. It probably brought a lot of memories to many readers. Nicely done. I wanted to see your hentai one make it last week also, but such is life.
I think Dipswitch is my #2 this week - the RE5 demo was ok. but I absolutely loathe their inventory system.
Steam or PSN: slycooper_rocker (The Agent of Orange) @ Feb 8th 2009 12:51AM
i just wish you guys would color again.
Lionbacker steamID: detfan1957 @ Feb 8th 2009 8:16AM
Your hunter one and hiimdaisy were the top two for me. Unfortunately I have a big soft spot for metal gear. Sorry dover.
MNC Dover @ Feb 8th 2009 8:58AM
@Steam:
Yeah, I miss the color too. The problem is that all three guys involved in our site have full time jobs in addition to doing the site. It's either one full color comic or three black and white ones. Once the site starts making enough money to pay our artist, we plan on adding color back in.
@Lion:
No problem! I'm just happy to be on the poll getting responses. =)
Ranus Studios @ Feb 8th 2009 12:14AM
It'd be a lot easier to vote if there were a poll here, you guys!
MowDownJoe @ Feb 8th 2009 12:19AM
You're doing it wrong. You gotta do it like the Engineer in TF2.
WE NEED A POLL RIIIIGHT HERE!

Hsu & Chan or Shagohod? Hard choice.
Steam or PSN: slycooper_rocker (The Agent of Orange) @ Feb 8th 2009 12:52AM
both were too long so i got bored.
Snowblind @ Feb 8th 2009 3:20AM
Hsu & Chan was actually pretty funny.. but seriously, it's supposed to be a webcomic, not a blog.
zuburi @ Feb 8th 2009 12:29AM
I liked Dipswitch a lot.
How does Hsu & Chan make the list every week? Name recognition?
WINterfang @ Feb 8th 2009 12:50AM
I'm guessing pity Vote.
igorponweed @ Feb 8th 2009 12:31AM
2P Start was the only one that made me keep laughing for a while this week.
WINterfang @ Feb 8th 2009 12:34AM
Penny Arcade get's my vote.
&rew @ Feb 8th 2009 12:38AM
Joystiq is taking away our democratic right!!1!1
WiNG [XBL&Steam: WiNGSPANTT] from lifeinagame.com @ Feb 8th 2009 12:39AM
I vote for 2P Start
I also vote for voting buttons plz.
Lavat @ Feb 8th 2009 12:43AM
That Hsu and Chan part poking at the stupidy of those crazy Japanese RPGs made my day....
El Verde @ Feb 8th 2009 3:21PM
Agree. "I Break for Limits," indeed.
Steam or PSN: slycooper_rocker (The Agent of Orange) @ Feb 8th 2009 12:50AM
i would vote for 2p start if you couldn't see the punchline from miles away and if there was a poll. so my vote goes to... digital unrest. that was pretty funny. and mnc gets honorable mention because of calvin and hobbes.
&rew @ Feb 8th 2009 12:57AM
Ha ha, Cummings.
idiot @ Feb 8th 2009 1:01AM
the post is funny(er) if you read it like speedracer
it totally works
evilkoala @ Feb 8th 2009 4:00AM
I vote for Dipswitch...
GatorSax2010 @ Feb 8th 2009 2:05AM
Apparently when WWW forgot how to mulitask, that included putting polls in posts.
Not sure who I'd vote for... Calvin and Hobbes references are always welcome, but I think the phrase "Sandwich! I trusted you!" is inherently awesome.
Kamizar @ Feb 8th 2009 2:16AM
Hiimdaisy has me rollin.
The Espiritu (Sony said: PlayStaiton 3) @ Feb 8th 2009 2:21AM
I liked Digital Unrest and 2P Start, but the only one I didn't get was the Penny Arcade webcomic, what the hell are they talking about in that one? Islam is the light? Am I the only one here that didn't get that one?
Moptimus Slime (Leader of the Ryan Scott Defense Force, Ultrastiq Revolutionary) @ Feb 8th 2009 2:34AM

sadly, you missed the majority of KillJebus's "Hey Everyone! Look at me! Im trying to piggyback my beliefs onto this thread since it has marginally to do with Religion. Also, Im going to belittle everyone who disagrees with me kthnxbi"
xtremeholymuffin @ Feb 8th 2009 3:02AM
I loved:
"METAL GEAR!?!?!"
".........what the heck is a Metal Gear?"
Yourself @ Feb 8th 2009 3:14AM
Hsu & Chan continues to be the worst conceivable webcomic (on the planet). I actually struggled through it, just to see if I could decipher why it keeps making the Joystiq poll - but all I found was a muddled and confusing criticism/parody (not really a parody without humor but I'll just assume that's how it was intended) that's been done to death a thousand times over since its genesis in the good old year of 1988. Not to mention I wonder at the writer's grasp of the English language as much as I do at his dearth of anything even resembling a sense of humor, or dialogue, or legibility really.
Reader @ Feb 8th 2009 4:20AM
I agree entirely... I forced myself to read through it as well, and it didn't even get my mouth to twitch. Maybe in pain since it was so flipping long.
Bowser Rogozhin @ Feb 8th 2009 6:31AM
The best comics are those who publish when they have something to say. Producing to a schedule brings about diminished returns, as can be seen by this week's selection. I voted for MNC out of solidarity...for something.
alienmastermind @ Feb 8th 2009 9:07AM
Hey, cool!
Dipswitch back in the mix. This is good! Wow, there were some good comics this week.
I think Bowser said it, though, we should only write and draw comics when we know they're going to be hilarious. It would save us all a lot of time and work. Unless, you know, we're doing this for fun and enjoy trying to make people laugh and the minor recognition. Like me. So, I guess I'll just keep on plugging away anyway. Sorry Bowser. I wish I could help you out, man. :)
Alienmastermind
David @ Feb 8th 2009 7:24AM
2 P Start always makes me cringe- it's poorly written and the "art" is simply bad.
AceRadd @ Feb 8th 2009 10:20AM
I'm not really a big fan of Penny Arcade, never really found them funny before, but I had to give my vote to them this time. Probably the most I've smiled at a webcomic for a bit.
Jacksons @ Feb 8th 2009 10:21AM
Dipswitch made me chuckle a bit. So true...
Mr Khan @ Feb 8th 2009 1:21PM
The world needs more Calvin & Hobbes references, it would be a better place for all

MNC Dover @ Feb 8th 2009 2:11PM
Oh man, that image really is "incredibly awesome!"
mr mobius @ Feb 8th 2009 8:40PM
Sorry Dover, Digital Unrest has to get it from me this week (though not many others agree apparently).
May be that as a medic, I find the medical reference funnier. Combining two things I like generally will work for me.
MNC Dover @ Feb 8th 2009 9:58PM
Mr. Mobius, I trusted you.
=)
CJLopez @ Feb 9th 2009 11:28AM
'll go with 2PStart, just feeding my PSWii fanboy in me, xDDDDD
The poor guy was starving already
