Baby J Penn, the fact that the Wii is selling out does in fact prove that graphics are not one of the more important values that most consumers look for in a console. Of course nobody complains when Wii graphics are "too good", what does "too good" even mean?

It's not that Wii owners in general don't care about graphics at all, it's that compared to other values, it's not an important value. The success of the Wii compared to the PS3 proves that the values of affordability(from the start), intuitive, natural controls and pick-up-and-play gameplay trump those of awesome graphics, massive scope, excellent AI etc. for most customers.

We will just have to agree to disagree. The only factor was price.

Would you say McDonalds has the best hamburgers in the world because they sell the most on an annual basis?

it wasnt price, 360 had for some time a close price tag.But a very risky reliability(red ring), and trust me, factors as having the chance of a fully defective unit after short term affects sales, even if you can send it for repairs, is an annoyance. And lots of foreign users have a hell on their hands for guarantees and refunds.
2nd: Gamecube was cheaper that xbox and ps2 yet it failed to sell brutally. So not price, nope it didnt help at all.NOTICEABLY it also had the smallest collection of games. That is more of a factor.OH and it had good graphics for its gen.
3rd : 360 for instance, better games?it has a small collection of good exclusives Not on PC,a large amount of players own computers .That hurst sales too.If most games come for your pc, why buy it?
Too many things are inherent. Not just price tag, by a longshot.
Ps3 needed more titles and sooner, and its high price tag didnt help either. They come slowly.Good and bad come but slowly.Wii gets some decent games, load of shovelware, but stil l,lots of games...Just this month, Tenchu 4 ,exclusive for ,just an example of this month alone. Not for pc, 360 or Ps3.That helps too.
Control scheme is,hate it or love it, innovative. That helps.
SO ..nope, price alone means squat.

Darkseid fell through the universe and a Crisis happened. All the sites were more or less condensed into Joystiq.

I was afraid it will only be unique for a Wii game.

I'm totally baffled there hasn't been a notable mention of COD5:WAW. Online play is limited to 8 players, but I've never had a time in my 68 hours of play where I couldn't join or create a full match. The gameplay is exhilarating, and on 16:9 at 480p, it plays and looks like a dream. It's also important to note, that being built on the COD4 engine for the other systems, it is completely comparable to that game. And since IMO COD5:WAW Wii was so impressive, I expect HV to give us something even one mark better with the Conduit. They aren't going to do worse. The idea of giving the Wii a pass means nothing to somebody who intentionally chose the Wii and only the Wii because it's a fantastic way to play any type of game, especially a FPS.
