3 months of Xbox Live free with Lost & Damned purchase

If you can stand to wait a few days before partaking in the cycling adventures of The Lost & Damned (stupid shipping delays), then Amazon.com might have an offer for you. They're enticing all GTAIV enthusiasts with a free three-month Xbox Live card with purchase of Lost & Damned.

Your other option would be to snag the DLC from the Xbox Live Marketplace on February 17th, the instant it becomes available. For some, having to wait a minute longer to download the expansion in all its 10+ hour, Busta Rhymes music-debuting and Niko-less glory would be unthinkable.

The end of the month will be a happy time for GTA I hope. On a sad note, Fallout DLC is delayed a month.

does this mean each time I want to play this DLC, I have to put in the disc, even if I install it to the HDD? Or do I put in the original GTA IV disc?

When you buy this from a retailer you get a redeem code, not a disc. GTA 4 must be in the tray when you want to play The Lost and Damned.

i dont think its a disc, i think its just the reedeem com to buy the game cause ebgames has the same thing and i think its just the to cold to DL it from XBL, meaning your gonna have to have internet or XBL acc.

It's a redeem code for the download. You need GTAIV Disc in the Xbox when you play it. When you start up the game it will give you a choice between starting up GTAIV or Lost & Damned

Of course you will have to have the disc in, common sense.

The disc I was referring to was the GTA IV disc obviously, since there is no Lost and Damned disc. Once again, common sense comes into play.

Someone's new to DLC. In ANY DLC you need to use the disc to play the content.

Sweet deal Joystiq, thanks for posting the information about it. I decided to take Amazon up on that offer, as well as snag the Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection as well. I don't mind waiting for the DLC for GTA IV, as I've got plenty of other things to do in the mean time.

Is anyone sure that "The Lost and Damned" from Amazon isn't just a 1600 MS Points card?

Amazon clearly state that you are buying a code to download the DLC - so there shouldn't be any extra waiting involved. I believe they are sending an actual card for the 3 months additional live service though.
