The demo, which tracks experience and includes three unlockable fighters to test
HAWX demo barrel rolls onto Xbox Live Feb. 11
55
As the late, great, Kenny Loggins once sang, "Ride into the Danger Zone!" What? Kenny Loggins isn't dead? Awkward. Moving on... On February 11, a demo for Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. will hit the Xbox Live Marketplace for Live Gold members.
The demo, which tracks experience and includes three unlockable fighters to testdrive fly, allow up to four Mavericks to play cooperatively. It sports two missions for the upcoming air-combat game: Operation - Off Certification, one of the game's training missions that showcases maneuvers and tactics used throughout the adventure, and Operation - Glass Hammer, another training mission that teaches pilots how to blow stuff up in the air and on land. Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. lands in stores this March.

I know, I remember when it was announced. IT REMAINS A STUPID NAME. ( I grew up in the 80s and this would have been a perfect name for a cartoon/ toyline.)

You'll feel really bad if Kenny Loggins ends up dying tomorrow.
I always thought it was "Highway to the danger zone."

Sorry didn't mean that as a reply to you ^
I think the song is Danger Zone and the lyrics alternate between "highway to the danger zone," "ride into the danger zone", and "right into the danger zone." I can see how you may have been confused by Kenny Loggin's rich lyrical tapestry.

I believe Neuromancer is right, the lyrics alternate from Highway/Ride/Right.

I remain skeptical about this one. A lot of the trailers and gameplay look interesting, but I've been burned by a lot of air combat games in the past. To much arcade and not enough sim for my taste. I hope there is at least a cockpit view.
Does anybody know of a flight combat sim that is coming out for PC, or is already out?

Game Informer doused its after burners flames in a preview! They teased the crap out of its ridiculous name is all. I spit my drink when i came across it at the time.
"Oh no they have missle LAWX!"
"This game will rock your SAWX!"
"Tom Clancy was thinking out side of the BAWX!"

@Alien Lord: If you don't like Americans then don't play it. Simple. I don't play Rainbow Six and GRAW because they are pro U.S.A. I play them because they are FUN.

The only good Clancy propaganda, I mean game, to date has been End War.

yes because Tom Clancy is 100% involved in these games and its not just Ubisoft bought the rights to use his name however they see fit.
Oh, wait...

Because the first Ghost Recon (not GRAW) not only kicked ass but also accurately predicted a real world conflict

The idea behind damn near everything Clancy is pro Yankee, not a good thing. End War was good for two reasons, 1st it was fun, 2nd there was virtually no pro Yankee propaganda.

Haven't seen much about this. I'm hoping its more simulation oriented myself. Arcade flight games are alright, but there is a dearth of simulation flight games (total:0) on consoles, and I would really dig one. Blazing Angels caught my attention for the duration of a rental, but I don't rent anymore.
I'm hoping for a good sim myself, and surely this will support the flight stick.

At the beginning of every online gaming service, there are billions of people. All waiting in the darkness for said service to go live. When it does 1 by 1, the billions consume every copy written/cool name, known to man. Its a horrible sight i tell you.
You see me shambling around as "Negatron", yes i can put spin on it as in Negatron, being synonymous with "negative" but look at mee!! *cries*. At least i don't numbers and X's filling out my name.

That image is very laughable. Who would dog-fight in an A-10? Only crazy people. Crazy people like the United States Marine Corps.

how do you know they're dogfighting? It kinda looks like they just finished an attack mission, and are now trying to escape two Rafales.
PS -- Mega64 just released their "commercial" for HAWX. I enjoyed it but everyone else seems to be sayin "WTF?" lol.
