Rumorang: More Mass Effect DLC on the way

You remember, eight freaking months ago, when we reported on BioWare talking about" more DLC for Mass Effect? Well, while you were vicariously experiencing the New York Comic Con through our virtual window into the Jacob Javits Center last weekend, BioWare community manager Jay Watamaniuk was dropping bombs on CinamaBlend.com's Pete Haas regarding that very same DLC, though remaining notably vague.

"Watamaniuk mentioned earlier in our chat that a second Mass Effect DLC episode was on the way," reads the piece, noting that Watamaniuk quickly redirected the conversation. We've reached out to BioWare for comment and have yet to hear back, but will update this post accordingly as word comes in.

The PC version came with the DLC "Bringing Down the Sky" for free.

it was the first time, and when ludwig just had to work it into every Mass Effect post it still was

that DLC really has come in fast...........

Anyway, stop making DLC for Mass Effect and get Mass Effect 2 out the door.

Not until next year. But some decent DLC would certainly help to pass the time.

Sweet, I need a new reason to get back into this game! Though now I may just do that, since I only need like 4 more achievements to have them all. It'll be my first 100% complete achievements game! Hah.

I'm going to say that they spent the time finding a way to include the DLC concurrently with the game (like Fable II or Fallout 3) as opposed to having to start the game over in order to access the new content.

This is great for me because I just bought Mass Effect now that it's been dropped to $20 in price!

Holy crap holy crap holy crap! Need a reason to come back to this awesome game! Let's hope this is more then just rumor.

Is that 2 disc version of Mass Effect out for 20 dollars yet?

I traded it in at Gamestop ages ago before the DLC came out but I'm going to pick it up again tomorrow. You can't beat that price.

Perhaps its also included in the re-release?

And then I realise that the re-release has already hit retail (if its supposed to be Feb 10)

This game deserves more DLC.

hmmm.... i'm thinking i need to replace my damaged copy before this DLC hits... a 20 dollar re release sounds like the perfect opportunity to do so.

Maybe it's going to be an honest to goodness expansion in the vein of Shivering Isles for Oblivion considering how long it's taken... but best not to get hopes up as they might've just been busy on Dragon Age.

I really hope they've added some of the PC streamlining as far as inventory management and stuff goes.

It'd also be nice if they allowed Hard Drive installing to speed up the elevators but I don't know how big an endeavor that would be to change and might not be worth the effort.

Though, even if it is just another Bring Down The Sky-esque DLC I'll probably still pick it up if only to revisit Mass Effect however briefly.

If you're talking about the 360 version I have mine installed on my HDD and honestly, I can't tell the difference on the elevators :( Hopefully ME2 will take care of this, the inventory and the cover system. But honestly, even if they don't I'm gonna be a happy gamer when it drops.

Meh, I didn't particularly like the first round of DLC. Plus the game screwed up my three characters saves, I only had one save for each character which was conveniently at the beginning of the last boss.

Even if it's not much better than Bring Down the Sky, something is better than nothing. Any excuse to go play this game more is welcome.

This is the best "news" I've heard all week. I really hope this rumor proves true. This is one of the only games my fiancee and I can enjoy together on the 360 and some more DLC would certainly breathe much needed life back into it.

Wow it's been a while but I'd lap up more DLC for this awesome game.

Please, let it be true!!! With Mass Effect 2 not coming until 2010, I need something to hold me over.

Hm. I always read it as "rumorwang."

The elevators will always be slow,it means you dont have a loading screen instead. The game is loading the content and area as you are going, ala GTA, so the game loads and puts you in the "long" elevator instead of a loading screen. This explains why sometimes you come into an area and the game is still loading textures.

Mass Effect MORE DLC

Gotta admit i gave this game a miss up untill the time i got bored with PS3 release's - I know don't Shoot the messanger - This game is the Dogs Bollox with Pirecings It's that Good

Anyway back to Mass Effect this game is so involving i almost had a mid life crysis when faced with some of the decisions i had to make during play, i hear people talkin about repetative gameplay but if you can pick up a game without repetativeness all over please tell.

I'd be interested bout the DLC, Bioware have had a bit more time to complicate the Storylines & details of the Extra's

I rekon this is well worth the look & see, i know they gave it away for free on the PC but whether Microsoft make you fools pay well that's for Microsoft

I was playing it for the 8th time last night and I __STILL__ found things I had YET to see in the game!!

Awesome...considering I've been kickin some mass effect ass as of late. (Just nabbed the 3rd-last and 2nd-last ally achievements last night! One more to go!)
