PES 09 its not good game, I don't know why Japanese gamers like it so much? FIFA 09 is the best Football/Soccer game this year.

Since America apparently loves us some shootin' games, Resistance: Retribution might be a good pick-me-up for the PSP. Beyond that, maybe an infrastructure game or two with tourneys / heavy marketing (the next Madden?) combined with some Ad-Hoc Party could give the system a boost.

Also, I'm on pins and needles waiting for a North American release date for Radiant Mythology 2. if it doesn't make it over here, I'm going to go over to Japan and personally un-Translate people's copies of GTA4.

"What kind of game would make American gamers go wild for the PSP, in the same way Monster Hunter has?"

I wonder what would have happened if Nintendo had been as reluctant to bring 'quirky' Japanese titles like Brain Age and Phoenix Wright over to these shores? Just not releasing anything at all doesn't exactly help anything. I'm pretty sure more games would promote the PSP better than none.

The only games I play on PSP anymore are pirated Japanese titles that will likely never see light in the west.

Am I part of the problem? I refuse to believe so. If PSP developers don't want to put their games in stores in my country in a language I speak (you have a couple options there), then they must not want my money.

What would make American PSP gamers get as excited as Monster Hunter? F*ck I dunno.. how about MONSTER HUNTER?! It probably won't sell 2M in a week, but it's likely to sell more than 0.

Uhm, Capcom did bring over Monster Hunter. They didn't sell very well, and despite that, they are still bringing over the latest one (2G or whatever).

Of course, pirates had already gotten bored of playing the Japanese version, so I guess you didn't notice...

I'd have to agree with the crowd swaying towards fps =x.

I'm not too pleased about it but most Americans are impatient so they aren't too happy with multiple endings, having to play through the game again, using their minds, etc. Epic Fail indeed. ;o;

To me I am an American who has PSP and Playstation 3 with backwards compatibility to both PS2 and PS1 games and I have to say I will only buy RPGs that are originally made in Japan. Anything anime-style is ok with me. To me FPS and stuff like that is just boring. I know some of you may not like what I say about FPS but I am getting tired of all of these FPS shooter games. Bring more titles from Japan to America.
