Who cares if it's not rock. Some of old stuff are rap classics that will be party hits. I'm laughing right now at the images of 30 something white folk breaking off Snoop hits!

I will say it will be interesting to see how, instrumentally, they make this work.

Actually, Snoop's more recent stuff has really shifted towards funkadelic. There would be plenty to do on the guitars and bass as well. When you hit a section of the song that doesn't need either the bass or guitar, you can use them to choke a bitch (if you have the wired guitar) or simply keep em' in check. Plenty of uses indeed. ; )

Most of Dr.Dre's produced tracks have older jazz and funk roots so they might translate well to instruments.

Anyway not to get to out of line here but that girl on the right has quite the backside. Yowza. Snoop is just showing his one handed Live technique where he can lose but still be the winner.

Oh come now baby J, i know you, and you ONLY listen to gangsta shit!

When you toke on your bomb ass dank of which gives you the creativity and energy to write your "compositions", guitars and funkadelic are the last thing on your menu. Word on the street is your nickname Johnny#5 comes from the fact your eyes are always red, and always pack steel.

Ha Ha Negatron ...

Nah man it comes from Short Circuit which was is my favorite movie of all time. I used to listen to a lot of rap music when I was in high school but now I only have a select few hip hop artist that I can tolerate. It's really only Immortal Technique, Diabolic and classic Eminem.

Immortal Technique (best lyricist and most socially relevant artist evar!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgmDAdGASuo
Albums: Revolutionary volume 1 & 2 as well as The 3rd World Mixtape

Immortal Technique Featuring Diabolic (disgusting)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imNXJItVQ2M

New Eminem actually sounds promising. The flow is there hopefully so is content.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHfe22sClHs

I think I like Eminem because I remember when he was good.

Anyway ....

This is cool. I support different kinds of genres making their way into RB, I probably won't purchase any Snoop though.

How do I set up Joystiq so I don't have to enter my email and password for every post?

I just checked, I don't have anything like that enabled. When I normally browse the site, both fields are always blank. When they email me that someone responded to my comment, and I click the link, it will fill in the email but not password.

Erase your saved password for Joystiq and try again.

Also, if you quick registered they sent you a different password that isn't the one you probably wanted. It should be in all of your "verify comment" emails.

I use the password from those confirmation emails, I just have to enter it every time I want to make a post. There is no password saved, so there's nothing to erase. It always defaults to the "Returning" tab down at the bottom of the page instead of "New Readers," and so I enter my email and password every time, and I check the "Remember me" box, and that's just how it goes. Both fields are always completely blank.

I just changed a setting in my password manager (Roboform) and Joystiq works now. I don't understand why Firefox wasn't doing it, it had about 8 sites listed in its own manager. I definitely log in to more than 8 sites on a regular basis. Thanks for the various advice, dudes. Appreciate it.

Yeah I saw him with the Chili Peppers a few years back and he doesn't disappoint thats for sure. For a "Party", no excuse me, for a more fun when drunk game like Rock Band, this is a perfect fit. His stuff would be really fun and a great way to break up those long set lists when playing with friends.

What the hell? Did someone see GH add Flo-Rida to the DLC lineup and think adding rap to RB just HAD to happen? Do either of these games think the addition of rap to a ROCK RHYTHM GAME is going to light the world on fire?

This is such a bad idea. No way I'm climbing aboard this train.

Well, the "rhythm" part is certainly easy enough to rationalize.

The "rock" part just comes from the title of the game. There are a lot of genres present in Rock Band. Why not throw in a genre that is all about the groove?

Gah! The company's desire to add optional content to a game and possibly make money and other people happy is ruining my enjoyment of the game!
