MySims Party raises roof this March

MySims Party is part of EA's initiative to design more titles that appeal to the console's demographic. EA is likely taking a cue from 2K Games, which has found minigame success with its Carnival Games series. Next up for the MySims on Wii and DS: MySims Racing. Then, we speculate: Legend of MySims, Super Smash MySims and MySims Fit.

"MySims Party is part of EA's initiative to design more titles that appeal to the console's demographic."
Is that your personal opinion, Alexander? Because I would certainly consider Dead Space to be part of EA's initiative to design more titles that appeal to the console's demographic as well.

Don't make me post RE4 Wii numbers, either.

who would have thought that the Sims franchise would blow up like it did? Its pretty amazing.

Dead Space , and RE4 numbers aside, "Party" games still appeal to the "consoles demographic". With that being said, can anyone dispute the fact that the majority of of the games available pertain to "party" and/or children themes?
I know people tend to defend Nintendo, by dropping sales percentages and totals. Yet that has nothing to do with walking into a game retailer and noticing the past and present selection to choose from. Since THIS IS an opinion, i can only use my own judgment saying that over time, many of the games appeal to a certain demographic. I haven't done any research on who, so that is as far as i can go. All i do know is that it is in plain view.
Not an attack Cody, just disagreeing with your uncertainty with the term "console demographic."

Games like this just add fuel to the fire.

Did anyone actually play the MySims games? I did, and they're solidly addictive. I never thought I'd feel like this, but it's actually paining me to see them move the franchise to party games. They'd better have a proper MySims game on the horizon.

@Ultimatepryceman: I've played both MySims game, and I have enjoyed them as well. They really are a fun, relaxing game.
I've never been a huge Sims fan, but MySims is a pleasant excursion.

Wish I played MySims Kingdom (other games keep coming up), but I have played the first.
If you love customizing things, MySims is the game for you. It plays nothing like The Sims games... though, I do like The Sims as well (for the reason most people do: Building the perfect house with the perfect jobs... then destroying their lives in the most despicable way possible).
I'd be willing to give this game a chance, mainly for my love of MySims.

I don't have kids, either.

Just by looking at that picture i knew this was a Wii article

It looks like Sims: Bratz but less hooker-y.
