Someone must have
stirred Bond's martini, because he's
livid and won't make his appointment with retail shelves this year, Activision confirmed during its recent financial earnings report. The PP7-wielding British spy will instead arrive in "calendar 2010," CFO Thomas Tippl said, "to avoid head to head competition" with 2009's soon-to-be-blockbuster
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Many of you may think this is the same James Bond racing game that Bizarre has said
it's working on, and we're right there, wondering with you. Activision is unlikely to push back a racing game because of its FPS franchise, so this suggests a different, action-based
Bond game altogether.

Bond games are usually hit and miss, there some great titles like Goldeneye and Everything or nothing and then there are the bad ones like from Russia with love. Is there anyone else that thought Nightfire was?
Haggard @ Feb 11th 2009 6:34PM
I can only speak for the PC version of Nightfire, but it seemed to have poor shooting and incredibly annoying forced stealth.

I smell a movie tie-in!

Maybe the racing is just one aspect of the game while the other aspect is the action stuff. Just my thoughts.
David Hinkle @ Feb 11th 2009 7:33PM
It could be, maybe some sort of mixture between PGR and The Club. A hybrid, if you will.

Well, it's been done before (Driver).

Hit or miss is a bit off to me. I really only liked Goldeneye, so it was hit and die for me. I am stoked for CoD MW2 though. I am passing on WaW but will certainly get MW2. Yah for infinity ward.

Doesn't that mean it's just going to conflict with Treyarch's next Call of Duty? And nothing stopped them from doing it last year with QoS and WaW. They should have just said nothing or said they don't want to rush it.
HitNRun @ Feb 11th 2009 8:43PM
Probably for the best. Bond games tend to be rushed POS with the one legendary exception, so the more time they have to work on it, the better.
