As promised, living room mobsters will have to wait a while longer before pounding the streets as the Don. Electronic Arts announced that Godfather II will now ship in North America on April 7, with Europe getting the game later that week on April 10. First revealed in 2007, the sequel was expected to ship for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on February 24, however it was pushed back earlier this month in order to generate more buzz around the game's release.
Thanks for the heads up EA, though we've circled the new release date on our calendars in pencil. You know, just in case you want to feed the hype machine some more, or if the economy takes out another hit on your bottom line.

I may be off, but I think it got pushed back to the next fiscal year, which might still be the case. I knew it wouldn't get pushed back too long just for hype sake.

I thought so too at first glance and while it's not as polished or pretty as most top shelf games, when you see the game in action it looks like it has promise. They seemed to have stirred together open world TP action with RTS elements that aren't too time consuming.
I would hold my evaluation until I try it.
Too bad it's not on the Wii too. Godfather Blackhand is still one of the best mature games on the machine.

As one who never really got into the story lines on GTA games, i'm anxiously awaiting this game. I had a blast playing the first one, even though it did have its bad moments, it was definitely a ton of fun.

What i'm glad about in this Godfather is they took many elements from Scarface like the map planning & executions & graphical style. I personally cannot wait for this baby to come out.
