Lumines Supernova 'Classic' pack coming to PSN Feb. 12

Lumines Supernova may have only just released in Europe last week, but those who've had it for a while -- we're looking at you, North America and Asia -- will be receiving some new downloadable content for the PSN game this Thursday. The"Classic Skins Pack" will offer 20 skins from the original PSP version of Lumines at a price of $4.99. We've asked Q Entertainment for a list of the skins, if only to confirm the presence of "Shinin'" and yell at / praise the company accordingly.

With the release of this DLC pack, the regular LittleBigPlanet update, rhythm game add-ons and ThatGameCompany's zen-em-up, Flower, the 12th is looking to be quite expensive. Judging by Sony's "Spring Fever" lineup, these bulky updates will continue in the upcoming weeks.

Can someone answer me if this game actually has the music videos of the 2nd PSP titles or is it just the old skins with no music videos playing in the backgrounds.

From all that I've played the game, it (luckily) is only like the first game, i.e. it doesn't have any American music videos in the background.
I have only played it for about an hour, so there might be some that I haven't played yet, but if there were a lot of those music videos in the game, I would not have bought it.
That's the same reason I didn't buy Lumines 2, crappy American music. I want more crazy, weird, techno, foreign music!

I probably should unlock some more before I buy this.

Yay finally some more DLC for this game. But $4.99 seems a bit much IMO.

I liked the music from the first ever Lumines. $5 isn't too bad, I probably earn at least that much while I'm taking a dump at work, hahaha.

Yay! There BETTER be Shinin' on it! Please! The original PSP game (and the PS2 port) is nothing without that! Sometimes, I would start Supernova and it just wouldn't feel right that I was starting a game of Lumines without "Shinin'," so... could this be my dream come true?

When I first played the first Lumines, I thought it was a nice song, and then, I got kind of annoyed by it, but then, I really loved it and I couldn't get enough of it. Same with "Never Gonna Give You Up," which, by the way, would be an awesome Lumines song...

Looks like a Tetris clone

Then what is it?

It has a bar that swings from left to right it clears any groups of blocks you've solidified the more combinations of blocks you group the larger your score.

The twist is everything you do from dropping blocks to twisting them makes noise. The sounds of the blocks being cleared also makes noise this all goes in tune to the beat of the song playing.

It's honestly nothing like tetris.

I realize this game is incredibly popular... but I just don't see it. I bought the PSN game, and it's definitely cool, but I never got hooked. Tetris is still the best! and second place is still Intelligent Qube.

I bought Lumines for the PSP originally, and then on the PSN. For me, its got the same addictive quality of a Tetris game, but the music and presentation put it over the top. Its a game that I not only play, but one that I enjoy doing well in, because the music beats get more interesting and I feel like I'm participating more in the game, as compared to Tetris

I'm hoping for Shinin' but will buy it regardless... I already have the PS2 and both PSP version, so why not? :)

Please, Mizuguchi-san, *please* give us Rez HD on PSN!
