I expect no less from a "Splatterhouse" title.

wow, that looked awful.

way to rip off prince of persia. did these guys even PLAY the original three? they were all about atmosphere. creepy music, disturbing imagery, and just an overall sense of fear of what comes next. this looks like god of war meets linkin park on halloween.

Actually, I thought the music sounded more like a poor man's Raining Blood by Slayer.

well at least the gameplay looks like all of the killing moves for God of war. except those killing moves are your every moves. maybe dante's inferno but without a creepy a$$ hell and a dude with a hockey mask

That was extremely brutal and gory. I'm kind of at a loss for words. I guess if the gameplay is tight and rewarding and if the game is budget priced it could be worth a purchase. It would have to be around $39.99 or lower for me to buy it unless it has some sort of multiplayer aspect.

I was frankly a little shocked somebody decided to bring this game back for a reimagining. I mean, does it have much going for it other than the "ooh I've heard of that before, it's oldschool" or "oh schweet it's bloody" schtick? Gore for the sake of gore is pretty lame in my personal opinion, and I haven't seen much else that's compelling about this game. I don't know if even a budget price would do it for me.

I'm suddenly reminded of a fork, in an oldschool PC game Bioforge? Man that's random.

Bioforge. F*ck yes, that game was awesome. I think that came out around the same time as Cyberia too. Man, those were great times. Great times. Whatever happened to them?

I wonder if there is any story aspect...at all. As far as the blood goes, I've seen better. Ninja Gaiden 2 is just as good. Mad World will have even more. Just saying....

Looked like a fairly generic and gory action game. Will probably sell less than 50K because of its rating and because it has nothing special about it.

Anybody that bit on Family Guy with the one teacher who has lost his marbles? Has the dead clown with lungs full of candy? That'd be swell if they could replace the gore and blood in SplatterHouse with tootsie rolls and candy n stuff.

Where'd they do that with No More Heroes again? Had to tone down the blood n guts?

I think exploding tootsie roll 'gore' is the solution.

Wow geeze, must have been a long day at the office here. I just finished talking about how great it'd be if we turned a bloody as hell game into an exploding piƱata game.

Oh well, least I know what I'm looking forward to tonight....

I'm sorry, but where was the gore?

It was violent like a looney toons cartoon, and the only thing I saw that was gory was a quick disappearing of his arm flesh. Weird creatures are not "gore."

If you want to tease us with something that is true to the history of Splatterhouse, you add some nastiness to it. That may have well been Power Rangers: Lotsa Flying Blood

Dude I would imagine it was toned down a bit. There were a few scenes that cut away at the last second when the gore was coming.

I thought it was just ridiculous.

Agreed. There is more gore in most prime-tv cop dramas than that??

I'm a bit confused by the people who are calling it violent and gory? Is it gory because of the red puddles? An arm was spewing blood for a brief second, but it was hardly gore.

Watch Dead Alive. That's good, lovely, gore.

Its the Resident evil 4 monster! He didn't die!.....

I was expecting it to be more gory....but it looks like it still needs more work....And the atmosphere did not look like it fitted right with the surrounding violence.

I thought Prince Of Persia, too, with all the jumping around... and what looked like annoying QTE boss combat. I'll save my money, and just download the originals.

I know I'm asking for a fight by saying this... but I thought this looked pretty awesome, and I just never got into God of War...

I played the demo of the first game before it came out, and I loved the giant boss battle, but when I got the game, I just didn't find the normal combat with the normal enemies any fun. I probably gave up on it too soon.

Looks like it'll offer mediocre game play and run off gore rather than story. Won't be picking this one up.

Looks fun and if it could be good, but I gotta say, the graphics looked a little PS2/xbox 1ish, if you know what I mean.

No offense to a developer that got kicked off the project, because that looks like a fun, well written game. I hope Namco didn't dump them because they thought the graphics might not be as good as Halo, COD, GoW or MGS4.

Um, maybe if i was 12...Of course that is my opinion, but oh well. Plus i am jerk of a critic when it comes to character design.

Nice hockey mask... Giving Ninja Blade a run for its money. /sarcasm

It definitely has that GOW and POP style of atmosphere. Lets just hope there won't be your typical "recycling of ideas" throughout the game. I don't want to fight a blue zombie the first level and fight the same zombie wearing BLUE in the 2nd ya know? I sort of felt that from the first junk boss that you see to the second one. Let's just see what the future holds and keep your eyes out for this one since it has its moments to keep us interested so far....
