It sounds like a great idea for someone who wants the movie and the game. I'm one of the few people who like the Riddick movies, and if I didn't already own them, I'd totally buy the trilogy / Dark Athena on one BD.

I like them as well and I think that would make a great combo.

Wait, they're talking about putting the game and the movie on the same disc? What about all the people saying that the games need/use all those 50gb? What about all the people saying that the movies need/use all those 50gb?

i think this is a winner of an idea. I mean who wants to pay full price for a shitty movie game! - Should it be perhaps £10 more than the Movie itself it'll probably be worth a play.

My money goes on G.I.Joe being the first.

The Riddick movies and Ghostbusters blu rays both come out close to their game release dates. This would be a good idea. As long as it could all fit on one disc.

"Why didn't someone think of this sooner?"

What you don't remember Ang Lee's "The Hulk" with a demo for the Xbox version of The Hulk game on the same DVD? Come on people this is nothing new. Mr. Nelson just didn't dig enough for the story. He can be forgiven only by the fact the Ang Lee movie wasn't very well liked.

The only benefit is as long as the price is the same as regular Blu-Ray discs, then I won't feel cheated getting a crappy movie tie-in game.

People are so blind when it comes to their system of choice. This has been done, it's nothing new. I'm pretty sure it's not going to be full games all the time. Demos... 5 minute games... whatever they decide.

It's a crap idea that they're only doing to get people to buy more movies and get those that don't have a blu-ray player to pick up the ps3 as their player of choice.

Waste of time, how bout coming up with more than 5 good games a year.

And i like how all the sony fanatics that said gears of war sucks are now all hype that gears of war 3 'might' be coming to the playstation and will probably be the first ones to buy it.

I don't think I've ever bought, or even rented, any movie-related games =/ If you think about it, most of these games are kid games. The rest are shooters, but why buy a movie-related shooter when you can get something like CoD or SOCOM or Resistance, etc...?

PS I'm not sure how this works now, but wouldn't they have to wait a few months after the movie before they release the game then? OR they'd have to release the movie on disc really early.

Like there's really any good Movie-based videogames....so who gives a crap.

and what they gonna do, charge you 80 bucks than for a movie/game?
ill pass. plus i have gamefly/netflix....so this isnt really appealing to me.

I thought the industry was moving away from physical discs?

Hate the new site, to many people who don't care for the ps3. I don't want to Liston to them rant (Ironic I know, but that's how it is), skip the post if you don't like PS3.
