Justin McElroy thinks that by giving someone a bunch of endearing nicknames it casts a magic spell whereby you own their soul....

Well, JE, Jay-Mack, it might work it might not... who knows?

Ahem... point is: GK is like the BW (Brian Williams) of video game journalism, and the Elroyster knows it.

this guy is a real gaming journalist unlike these game reviewing wannabes.

I'm just waiting for more episodes of The Bonus Round on Gametrailers.com. That's probably the best piece of "television" game journalism out there

I wanna see Brandon Jones take a few of Geoff's slots on GT shows. His voice is way more awesome.

I really don't know what the big deal is about this guy. I've never seen or read anything that he's done that's been great, other than the Mass Effect/Fox News thing. His interview style on GTTV is embarrassing and he mumbles when he speaks (especially on Bonus Round).

Seems to me that the only people recognizing him as "one of the best gaming journalists" are other gaming industry types.

I thought the same thing, then I somehow came across this amazing article: http://www.gamespot.com/features/6079652/index.html

It makes me wish he'd go back to writing rather than hosting a TV show.

QFT. It was the "Final Hours" series that he did for Gamespot made me a loyal reader of that site so long ago. There's plenty of adequate writing about games out there, but Keighley was definitely a stand out.

I find he is against Nintendo and a mad lover of 360, it is very hard to watch his shows despite the decent production.

thats funny, because back when he was on G4TV.com he was all Sony. Pretty sure he even said once that Xbox was a flop and MS wouldnt be in the console market for long. Stopped paying attention to him since then...

I like Mister Keighley and a handful of other gamer TV personalities, but having to watch them on G4 or Spike is too embarrassing. Those channels are cringe-inducingly juvenile, even by TV standards. I haven't watched TV in a while, so maybe this has already happened, but I formally request that someone produces a block of nightly game-related shows that cater to mature audiences. Plus ten points for developer interviews. Minus one million points for every too-hip-for-their-own-good-not-very-funny-wise-cracking host. Thank you.

Geoff is alright in my book. That asshole midget Tommy is another story. The orchestral performance of video game music was a great idea, I'll give him that, but the schmarmy lil fuck couldn't compose shit on his own.
