I am unbelievably excited for this game.

It sounds like they are really striving to recreate the experience. I hope there's a level where I'm playing bass as McCartney in the studio, when suddenly the track gets all screwy. The camera pans over and you see that Yoko has snuck into the studio, taken off her clothes and John's clothes, and are making simulated sex sounds into the mic.

If I activate overdrive with a 6x multiplier, then I am able to club them to death with my bass while still finishing the song successfully.

I'm hoping to see a Yoko voice track with youtube videos of everyone trying it and breaking into tears half way through. That would just be awesome!

Humm, I thought the final boss would be Mark Chapman.

Maybe that's in a side story.

Anyone who had to follow either the "Final Boss" link or the "BIC Lighter" link should really just be dragged to the street.

Keep in mind that this ISN'T a Rock Band game, thus, no milking is taking place. Of course, I'll wait to see the game and determine for myself whether its close enough to Rock Band to call it "milking". For now, there are still only 2 RB games.

Even if you include the AC/DC one, which is basically just a DLC pack but in a retail box, there's not 5.

There's also the (at least) two track packs.

If you guys want to include the new greatest hits game from Guitar Hero as a whole new game, then you guys must include the track packs and AC/DC. Which makes at least 5.

Didn't we know this already, with the information that the songs they were allowed to choose from didn't include their later works?

I really wish Neversoft was doing it b/c I like the feel of their games better, but I'll still buy this the day it comes out.

I'm not looking forward to those stupid bars, though. The tiny hammer-on notes are too difficult to time.

Last time I checked Neversoft only started developing the game in 2007 when Guitar Hero 3 was released. I don't think there's a single person who thinks GH 3 was better than GH 1 or 2 (and let's not talks about our musical tastes here, ok?), which were developed by Harmonix. The same guys who made Rock Band.

But you are entitled to your own opinion, so let's leave it at that.

I'm well aware, and actually a lot of people thought GH3 was better than GH2 and Rock Band. For expert level guitar work, it doesn't get better than GH3. I prefer the way Neversoft handles hammer-ons and note patterns to how Rock Band does it. Red Octane also makes much better peripherals than Harmonix/MTV/EA (whoever makes the significantly lower quality Rock Band instruments).

Rock Band does have better 'party' songs, though, and the Rock Band download service is unmatched. But, GH has better solo and versus songs. The characters and menus also look nicer and more 'grown-up' in Rock Band. Oh, GH also has too much emo.

Honestly, I realize it all comes down to opinion. I personally like playing more difficult and fun songs since I don't often get 4 people to play the full game. For me, I'll take the song I've never heard before that has a great note pattern over a song I love that isn't that much fun to play. The exception being The Beatles. I know that game won't have the best note patterns (it'll be easy and repetitive), but it's the Beatles.

As long as it has "Helter Skelter", and as long as the plastic drum kit can take some really severe punishment, then I'm buying twelve.

I don't like early Beatles, too corny. I like the druggie years. When their music was experimental, inspiring and changing the music landscape forever.

Awesome. I'm normally against these Activision-like franchise milkers but seeing as it's the Beatles I have to give it the hypocritical pass and buy it.

This has nothing to do with Activision except that Activision bought the rights to Guitar Hero from these guys, then promptly made GH3, GH:OT, GH:WT, etc.
