If there's one lesson we've learned during our short stint as professional webcomic adjudicators, it's this -- you don't need fancy illustrations or, well, coherent text in order to become a crowd favorite. All it really takes to woo the heart of the average online funny-paper consumer is a healthy dose of less-than-subtle mockery of a popular game, and plenty of ALL CAPS RUN ON SENTENCES WITHOUT PROPER PUNCTUATION MARKS UP IN THERE. Exhibit A: Hiimdaisy's second installment in her popular MGS3 parody, "Let's Destroy the Shagohod", the winner of Saturday's Weekly Webcomic Wrapup.
Second and third place went to 2P Start's "In a Fragile State" (lost by 4 votes!) and Penny-Arcade's "The Susurrous Sandwich", respectively. Unhappy about the results (or the nominations)? Hop into the comments section and let us know what should go in the next quarter-monthly webcomic omnibus.

Get some sleep. It's 4am here in Texas, I can only imagine how late it is where ever you live.
In other news, I must say the beekini had me laughing the most. Though the smiley faces on EVAs boobs was a nice touch.

I thought Susurrous sandwich was funny but not video game related (they just threw in the DS for no reason), so I couldn't vote for it :P

There's a reason Penny-Arcade includes a News section for their strips

I was laughing for about three minutes straight at Snake in the water.
HQ: "This is HQ! Status Report!"
Guard: "Nothing unusual!"
Snake: _
Guard: "W-well there is a crocodile with a gun and I think he's looking at m-"
HQ: Big deal!
I was rolling. I even made an icon of it.

Congrats to the winners and everyone else who participated in the poll last week. I'll toss in my vote for a potential poll comic for this weekend:
http://www.mondaynightcrew.com/issues/comic_0095.html
It seems to be the best fit from our three comics this week. On a side note, I'm wondering how much work I'm going to be able to get done on the site once Street Fighter 4 releases. My friends are going to have to forcefully remove the controller from my hands to write more scripts. Ugh. =)

I think this week's The Slackerz comic should be in the voting.

I can relate to the comic at the part where Snake accidentally slits the scientist's throat. In one of my playthroughs of MGS3, the only guy I killed before The Sorrow was a guard whose throat I slit by accident.
"Alright, I have this guy in a hold, now it's time to knock him o-"
*slit, blood everywhere*
".....oh."

Hiimdaisy's comic was excellent. Too bad we'll have to wait a while for the next one again since they must take a long time to do.
Here's our comic for this week:

Hello With Cheese ( http://www.hellowithcheese.com/ ) is a new comic (started the first week of this year). We're getting a bit obsessed with Street Fighter right now:
