Good game, shame the controls are so limiting compared to other x360 RTS games.

So much for a RTS "build from the ground up for the Xbox 360." The controls are NOTHING that hasn't already been done and for that matter to an even better degree. I played the C&C: Red Alert 3 demo and I thought it was miles better than Halo Wars. Not everything Halo is great but hey it's not even from Bungie so I won't be harsh. Anyways, I'll have enough consolation when ODST comes out :D

Everyone's entitled to an opinion I guess. Personally, I thought the controls were lightyears beyond the C&C 360 controls, I can't wait for this game.

Yeah, seriously, I don't know what you're talking about. Halo Wars demo had some pretty tight controls, for a console RTS. I haven't played C&C yet but I don't see anything to complain about with HW's controls

I am not a big halo fan. And was really skeptical of an RTS claiming to have done it right on the console. But the demo of Halo Wars sold me and I am picking it up day one. It is really well done and I have been having a blast with it.
Hopefully it really done well, because they've done a nice job.

The controls are great. Period.
Of course the game itself is a bit different then a CnC game. Resource and base management have been simplified, and this is one of the things that really held up the console RTS. you dont have little vehicles driving all around collecting resources, and you dont need to worry about base layout as much.
This takes some elements out of the genera, but really lets you focus on the battles.
They have definitely captured the essence of HALO in this game and I recommend it.
At least based on the demo.
