Sony released this new God of War III trailer today, to go alongside our brand new preview. It's an extended version of the one shown during the VGAs in December and features some of Kratos' new abilities and the game's god-sized scale -- the ending camera shot turns Kratos into a flea! The video was rendered in-game, so cross your blades that it keeps on looking this good -- and angry -- as development continues. Okay, we'll stop writing now, so you can get to watching the darned thing already!

(Impressive level of detail except on the gloves but I guess I'm just being picky here. I don't why but it reminds me of Diablo II I mean in terms of Style not graphics)

that was awesome. classic God of War meets Shadow of the Colossus. count me in...again lol. the graphics aren't super impressive but the massive amount of enemies on screen combined with the huge "living" level will certainly make up for that. the animations look solid too. another game i'll be patiently waiting.

Kratos' graphics are the sex. Fix the low res textures on the skeletons, add in shadows, and this'll be good to go. They have a year to do these things, and I can't imagine why they wouldn't.

Unless by some form of Satan's Hellish work this game manages to take a nosedive into the crapper, I am getting this game. I can only keep my fingers crossed that they release some sort of collector's edition that includes the first two God of War games somehow playable on Playstation 3. I was only ever able to play halfway through the first one before my brother's PS2 died in the middle of my game. :(

Rad trailer, but rendered in-game? Not likely. More likely rendered with in-game elements, ressed up, reshot (basically that camera wouldn't exist "in-game"). I love these trailers using assets built from the game, but calling it something it isn't still seems deceitful to me. They're just trying to avoid the stigma of being called a CG trailer (which I get, because the fanboy hatred would rain down), but they're still lying to me.

I never played GOW even though I have owned every playstation 1, 2, 3 console....I guess I was slightly familiar with those type of games....But I will be getting this and amongst other new games like UC2...Although I have pulled away from doing that once....right after I was expecting to get Resistance 2...That game kind of put me off when I was in the Beta. But!...HD gore is not to be missed.

I hope that was all interactive gameplay. Just going on a sweet quick rampage in this game like that all in the player's hands would be brilliant. That's what action games are missing. Just complete flow. It would make even the most mundane of set pieces look that much more better. He only stops for a second.

the trailer was really good... except for one thing. In the past two games it was acceptable to have simple cuts in half and sprays of blood, but in the next generation such simplistic effects become much more noticeable. especially when fighting the larger creatures, there needs to be slash wounds on them. A game of this caliber will be incomplete without it.

I don't know people, that really wasn't anything special. We have seen trailers like that a million times, that wasn't gameplay, so what's the big deal. This is no different than the Killzone 2 trailer. Control yourselves. Until I see some real gameplay footage, I won't be excited.
