Joystiq Podcast 085 - Dedication edition

This week's all about dedication. Ludwig records a show despite the constant threat of lion attack. What's that? Dedication. Justin's there even though a tree fell through his ceiling less than 48 hours ago, and you know what that translates to? Dedication. Chris manages to be nice to a listener he disagrees with, and we don't even need to tell you what that translates to (spoiler alert: dedication).

Damn, Chris, the heavy breathing, it's really distracting.

it's my hyper-sensitive mic – normally you wouldn't hear it since Justin records. NOW I NEED TO GET A NEW MIC!

I wonder if it's terrible or funny that Ludwig thought it was was Justin breathing :D

I do enjoy that you can hear Chris typing and obviously not paying attention to whoever is speaking.

Factoid: I always type while recording the podcast – you usually can't hear it though :-/

Awesome podcast as per usual guys. Keep it up. And Justin needs to keep his mic unmuted even if we can hear his breathing. the podcast looses something without him being able to interject at any moment.

So my iPod lists 100 episodes of the Joystiq podcast. Congrats, gents.

I believe this is the 85th podcast. Not sure why I think that, maybe I'm just crazy, but whatever.

85 regular episodes and 15 specials/roundtables. So it's only technically the 100th episode.

The breathing is considered behind-the-scenes commentary. When the rate of breathing increases, it means the commentator was really excited about the particular scene you're on. I think if you tweak the RSS it will turn off the commentary. To me, though, it adds a heckauva lot of insight to the piece.

Failed to mentioned the commentator. It's Michael Meyers.

Seriously, ban that word.

In that photoshop, Justin looks exactly like an aggressive /mildly retarded child that once threw sand into my eyes.

It's been said before but I'll say it again...I only got 10 minutes in before Chris' heavy breathing got too distracting. I love this podcast but please, why are mute buttons so hard for this group? It's literally the only negative thing about this podcast and it's totally fixable.
