Capcom announced a release window for Monster Hunter 3 yesterday at the Capcom/Pasela "Hunter's Banquet G" event in Tokyo. The multiplayer action RPG, which drew epic lines at the Tokyo Game Show, will be released this summer. Famitsu promises a full report of the event upcoming, but this is likely to be the biggest news out of it!
We assumed that MH3 wouldn't be released until some time after April, because Capcom is including a demo with Monster Hunter G, which comes out April 23. We're surprised that Capcom isn't holding this back until the fall, since this is likely to be the company's (or anybody's) biggest release of the year.

This looks absolutely spectacular. It's probably not coming out in the U.S. at all, though...

i do dare say that you COULD be assuming correctly. correct me if i'm wrong but the usually games released in japan are released about 6-7 months later in NA. well either way now that japan is getting it in summer (unless Capcom pushes it back) we can at least get an idea of when we (by we i mean NA) can expect to this to be released in NA.

You know what? Just be thankful you get it 6-7 months after Japan.
Here in the EU we get it 6-7 months after you.

Why is this tagged for the Wii? I thought that the Monster Hunter franchise was a PSP-exclusive.

"Monster Hunter 3 was originally announced for the Playstation 3 but was switched to the Wii. It will feature new mission modes as well as new monsters and items. This information was revealed in 2007 at Nintendo's Japanese press conference."

@z3r0w1n9:
You seem to be misunderstanding something. My question was about why something that I thought was primarily a PSP game would be listed under the Wii. It's also my fault that I didn't see the "source" link until after I had made the post since it wasn't as obvious as before the site's merger.

As long as I don't see Tigrex in this game I'll be happy. I don't want to go through another Tigrex g-mission.

TBH back when this was planned for the ps3 capcom confirmed they would be making sure the release for japan and NA would be as close to a universal release as they could make it (like RE5) not so sure how this statements holding up, but with capcom doing what they did with re im thinking theyll do it, but this is the part thats developing MH, and with no official date for united yet who knows, but seeing people fire off really uneducated guesses here is really re tar tar, hope people learn to actually read articles and not just put their 2 cents out there.
