Moon developer Renegade Kid has pulled its fangs out of the Count's supple neck, revealing in a post on the company's website that the secret "Dracula" game it had been working on with Gamecock "is no longer in development."
The post goes on to say that the IP is still owned by Renegade Kid, and the company is open the revisiting the project "should an opportunity to resurrect Son of the Dragon present itself in the future." Having only now become aware of the game's true name, with little else known of the rumored Wii project beyond some early artwork from last August it's difficult to feel too drained by this news.
The same goes for Renegade Kid, it seems, with studio boss Jools Watsham brushing aside the news with a standard 'no comment,' telling us instead that the studio's "current focus is on the development of our new game, which we'll have more news on soon." Whatever it is, we hope his excitement is enough to pull the stake out of players' broken hearts.

i'm going to go far out on a limb here and assume this game was in black and white and red blood played a part of the visual design. And the game was pulled back once they saw madworld was coming out before them.
granted it's a terrible theory to stop game development. as old McWorld commercials would way:
"Hey, it could happen."

I doubt that's the case considering MadWorld was announced a long ass time ago and has been slated for an early 2009 release since well before we Renegade Kid even announced their game was in development.

I doubt this is a big loss. I mean, it was no doubt a first person shooter that pushes the graphical capabilities of the Wii and has mediocre, cookie-cutter gameplay wherein you shoot generic enemies and solve "flip-the-switch" puzzles in an ultra-repetitive environment, just like BOTH OTHER RENEGADE KID GAMES.
We need somebody to come out and pull a Factor 5, with top-notch graphics and gameplay to match. It looks like HVS's The Conduit may be what we've been waiting for, but I've given up hope on Renegade Kid.
