Bizarre: Kristin Kreuk promotes Street Fighter movie

Just as Japanese players were warming up to Chun Li's massive paws in Street Fighter IV, Kristin Kreuk was fending off man hands herself during a Tokyo press event promoting the upcoming release of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.

While smiling and nodding to onlooking cameras and attending press, the February 12 event saw the former Smallville actress face off against another Chun-Li impersonator, this time of the male variety, with ridiculous results. Bask in the absurdity at Game Watch, knowing full well this is better than anything we're going to see on the big screen.

As much as I like her (figure, not acting >_>), I still think she wasn't the right fit for the movie, she looks nothing like Chun Li .__.

Half Dutch, Half Chinese from what I have heard. She is cute, but she is NOT Chun Li.

I forgot how attractive Kristin is.

I honestly though a guy's face was photoshoped on that Chun-li, lol.

Me too...finding out it's real only makes me...well...even LESS excited about this movie, and I didn't even think that was possible.

At least he's the one who looks more like Chun-li.

She has SO been Kicking ass in Smallville this season. you can tell she was training

She was MUCH better than the first time they had her do kung-fu on Smallville. I was very impressed! She may not be Chun-Li in most people's mind, but they can't say she didn't put the work into portraying the character.

As for the rest of the Street Fighter cast...no....they just got the wrong idea. I mean they changed Bison into Geese Howard from Fatal Fury for crying out loud!

Jeez, i stopped watching that about 5 years ago when it started losing it... now it has kung-fu lana?? :-o

yea she is the main character so I would HOPE she is better than the other characters in the movie, still tho they could do so much better.

And Smallville has actually be pretty good to me and gotten better each year, I just wish they would stop cramming so much stuff into smallville, they had the Toyman on there 2 weeks ago.

What!? This movie is out next week?! I haven't seen one commercial advertising it.

I seriously wonder if I'm going to have any incentive to see this movie before it leaves theaters...

am i the only one that thinks its weird that in japan m.bison is called vega, balrog is called m.bison, and vega is called balrog? that's so strange.

I can understand Balrog being M. Bison (Mike Bison/Mike Tyson). Vega just seems to fit the spanish ninja's name better.

When I first realized this years ago it seemed strange, but not really any more. There's an explanation of the why here:

that guy is a japanese comedian who's main skill seems to be having long hair. He doesn't seem very funny.

That said, a large number of japanese comedians seem to rely on having stupid hair in lieu of any actual talent. Or on hitting each other on the head every third word.

pray that you are never forced to watch japanese tv for any long period of time. pray hard.

No, what's strange is they appear to have found a man shorter than Kristin Kreuk.

Actually, if you click on the gamewatch url, there is a picture of that same dude towerin over Kreuk

The guy is in a squattin position on that image that joystiq posted, which makes him look smaller.

Also, the angle of the pic has the chick closer to the foreground and the guy further in the back, makin the smallvile actress taller than she really is.

That was the worst thing I've seen in quite awhile. I still don't understand the casting they did for a majority of this flick.

That's too bad they didn't show her face. It would have been funny.
