I still question the mainstream appeal of Madworld.

No More Heroes had a ton of gore but it didn't fly of the shelves (most unfortunately as it kicked ass).

It makes me want to buy the game even if I don't own the system(s).

I dislike Activision that much.

Hopefully this is all just rumor with no validity. If Activision is really pulling out all the stops to keep this game from being released then thats horrendous. Kotick can show a guitar up his arse for all I care. If this turns out to be true then I will probably buy the game just out of spite for Activision and to support the developer.

We tag posts "Rumor:" or "Rumorang:" (if it's more news on an existing rumor) when they are rumors. Def not a rumor, at least according to the source's word (Variety's Cut Scene blog, authored by Ben Fritz).

Though your assessment as to why the name changed is correct. Who owns who is incorrect. The merger left the Vivendi owners majority ownership of the Activision Blizzard merger. What they then did was said "We, Vivendi, suck at running game companies. Activision people please please please run our megocorp."

You're right, a quick wikipedia search shows that Blizzard was part of Vivendi before the merger. I was under the impression that they were owned by Activision before the merger. Sorry.

Wow, Noah Heller (aka Senior Super Douche Noah Heller) is truly representative of the entire company.

One more reason to hate Activision. They are a bunch of twats. If it wasn't for Blizzard I would boycott them. (yeah I've given up on Call of Duty: the Madden of FPS games).

Also wow, that EA statement was "Brutal".
