Disney and Lego have announced a partnership to bring constructable versions of Toy Story, Cars and Prince of Persia to retail by next year. The Lego Prince of Persia will be based upon the upcoming movie and not the Sands of Time video game.
Indulging pure speculation, we received this tip with the idea that the partnership means a Lego Prince of Persia video game could happen. Despite Warner Bros. ownership of developer Traveller's Tales, it has used licenses from other movie studios, so anything is possible. We're still holding out hope for a Lego Harry Potter game first, considering that magical universe is far more evolved than the Prince's, with numerous notable characters to unlock and play.
[Thanks, Matt]

arent toys from toy story a little redundant?

Shouldn't the Prince come with like a plastic bubble? Since he's being played by Jake "Bubble Boy" Gyllenhaal. Seriously, what's the matter with an actual dud form Pershia? Or someone that's like a super athlete parkour type guy?

He's still referred to as "Bubble Boy"? He's been in some really good films since then. Although I'm definitely not excited for this crap film.
Also why does the toy have a blue goatee?

Yeah it is, apparently you're an ignorant twat though. So I'm not surprised. Also Zodiac is one of the best movies this decade.

As a raging homosexual, I can honestly say that Brokeback Mountain made me laugh. Like, a lot. The parts that were supposed to be touching and powerful were hilarious to me.
It wasn't his fault, though. He was fine in that movie. And Donnie Darko was awesome.

Hey now, there already was a Lego Harry Potter - not to say it was any good. My younger brother had the game back in the day:

I always thought the Lego bodies look extremely unflattering for females.

at least girls won't get negative body images from playing with legos.

They should release a Lego Pirates or a Lego Knights stand-alone game (not this mash-up concept that's been previewed) before doing anything else.

Wait a sec... a LEGO: Prince of Persia game?
I thought that we played LEGO games about good movies, not LEGO games about movies about games. Isn't that kind of like crossing the streams?

For a second there I thought I was the only one who caught that.
But these aren't the PoP toys, these are just something someone made up from existing Lego parts and Joystiq used the picture.
