I'm looking forward to more iPhone reviews. I just got my iPod Touch this weekend, and I want to check out some of the best stuff.

I picked up Rolando (great!), and from looking at the comments on last week's feature it seems that FieldRunners and Tap Tap Revenge are very popular. I'll pick up LightBike for 99 cents.

What else am I missing?

Also, sadly, I am going through withdrawal from the Solitaire game on my old iPod. What is the best substitute in the App Store?

You might want to check out Brothers in Arms(TPS), Payback (GTA style), Texas Hold Em (Cards), Motion X Poker (Poker by rolling dice) and Aurora Feint (a RPG/Puzzle game).

Brothers in Arms is a really really bad game. It's the most watered down shooter I've ever played. Just because it's on the iphone does not mean it should get away with the atrocity they call gameplay. I'm sorry, I played a lot of it, messed with the controls quite a bit, and the game is just really very bad. There's nothing about it that is fun, exciting, or addictive, and although you CAN play the game with one of the few provided control options, it's just not good.

I really feel that people who say they like it are just in denial because they really want a good shooter for the iphone. That, it is not.

I forgot to mention suggestions. Puzzle Quest is the most fun I've had with an iPhone game, though I have yet to try Sim City or Rolando. I was looking forward to Rolando way back, and it popped up on the App Store without my knowledge. I put in a tip or two for Joystiq on the game before it came out, and they didn't post anything on it at the time.

I agree Levi, the controls do suck, but I was giving him some popular options for different types of game play.

I too am a new ipod touch owner, and I am always looking for games to keep me busy at work when we are slow.Final Fantasy Crystal Defenders, and VAY were my first two games. Just picked up Silent Hill and it has some neat things going for it but I would recommend Final Fantasy. Its been rather addicting. Vay's controls are lacking.

this game was way too easy. all you have to do is box in the enemies then you win

the only way it would be harder is if you got into the thick of things and battled it out

I really like this iPhone game review thing you guys started. It's definitely helpful. I'm sure hte App Store has at least a handful of decent games that I've missed because I've gotten discouraged wading through all the crap titles.

The letdowns started with Monkey Ball being so cool and so much fun, but not being able to pass the first set of ten levels because you can't just replay a level over and over until you get it right. Brothers in Arms stole my money after I read and watched a couple reviews, of which they were saying the game has just as much action and depth as any FPS on the DS or PSP - which it does not. I had vastly more fun with the DEMO of Medal of Honor on PSP.

I like Puzzle Quest, though it took some time to get used to manipulating the small puzzle pieces. I still need to get Rolando, and I might try Sim City.

Anyway, keep up the good reviews.

If you're looking for good iPod touch games, Galcon is an absolute must have. Addicting, fast paced strategy, a bunch of game modes, and online and local wireless play. For only 2 bucks. Awesome game.

I would also recommend Dropship. Retro style shooter with awesome controls (once you get the hang of it) that makes it a blast to play.

Um, someone already mentioned Aurura Feint. It's really fun. Great puzzler.

iShoot. It's pocket tanks. Nuff said.

And Tap Tap is pretty fun, it's got a couple of really good songs.

LUX!
it is the iPhone version of risk.
Lux Touch is free and awesome, but the Lux Deluxe is definitely worth it with all the different maps.

The AI isn't quite as good as i would like, but it isn't bad.

I also like fieldrunners, galcon, bix
