Gradius clone? Man, this is Gradius part 2 made by Konami! You are making it seem like this is a rip off of gradius which isn't the case at all.

I never apply that in a negative way, though. It's basically Gradius. I said that was a good thing! :)

This is a Gradius spinoff actually, there was a "Gradius II" but we didn't get it in the states.

This video is really bad btw, letting the walls close up on you? Twice? Total rookie mistake.

when i saw the picture i already knew david would enjoy it. If its a shooter he loves it. I don't remember if he ever didn't love a shooter on the virtual console. I bet if shooters only came out from now until 2010 David would be happy

I wonder if you can still use the up up down down left right left right code to get 30 ships like you could in the original NES version?

Oh wow, this is the game I thought it was. I forgot this existed, but I loved it back in the day.

Gradius Clone? As if. Although one could call Gradius V a Life Force Clone. Oh, also, Life Force and Salamander are not the same thing, at least not on the NES & FamiCom (or PC Engine). Similar, yes, but not the same.

The thing he forgot to mention is that you can play TWO PLAYERS SIMULTANEOUSLY..... which can't be done in Gradius..
