Didn't this game get poor reviews? Isn't this like asking someone if they like poop on their lawn after you've already pooped on it?

/I love poop analogies

It's usually a bad sign when the reviews are gagged until the day of launch coupled with the demo coming out aftewards

Yeah, that's the developers saying "Please Joystiq/IGN/Gamespot! Give our games a chance! We know it sucks! Don't review it until people buy it!"

But good games get early reviews to hype the consumer into buying it.

Body part poker!

I'll be downloading this demo for sure. I loved the show.. but because of various peoples take on the game experience, haven't checked out the game yet. This will be a perfect opportunity.

Thanks for bring it to my attention!

This is great news! I was a huge fan of the movie/mini series/whatever they called it. I was a little reluctant to buy the game and was going to rent it this month some time, but now no need to rent, I can try it out this way...

if you like hack and slash games you have got to give this one a chance. there isnt a lot of replay value and its extremely linear but the combat is solid and the soundtrack alone is worth a rental.

i wish ppl would stop parroting reviews and try games for themselves. i had a great time with afro samurai just like i did with SWTFU and that game got mediocre reviews too.

just because the game isnt perfect doesnt mean its not worth playing. if you pass up this game its your loss

Just got done playing the demo and I'm pretty impressed. Ninja Ninja's commentary is just hilarious. The demo had enough grit and pretty impressive stylistic elements to make me want to buy the full version. Sure, probably not great replay, and yeah, probably not the best gameplay experience, but the entertainment value alone seems like it'd be worth slashin' my way through.

Horrible camera, it was a close up on the robes through most of the fighting, barely could see what was going on while I was button mashing, which is too bad because what I did see was really pretty.

There are different styles of cel-shading, right, and this one I think looks exactly like the prince of persia style. Like, look at a picture and take out afro samurai and the bad guys and put the prince and elika and it looks right. Just caught my attention.

Well, I tried the demo and was pleased with the result. Definitely a game I'd like to own, it's ashame the price is way to high for what it is, so I'll wait til it inevitably drops in the next 6 or so months.
