What you said. My phone is only a couple years old, there must have been a leap in technology that I've missed.

Well...except the iPhone. I know it can have graphics like this.

Yeah, mine barely supports color, let alone fancy next-gen 3D cell phone rendering.

High fives to everyone else who goes for the free upgrade phones!

And 90% of all other smartphones?

Reminds me of a Nokia N95.

Also, the footage looks like it was a mix of the full retail game and the mobile app. The mobile version, to me, looked a little worse than Quake quality graphics.

It looks quite good actually, but I wonder who is actually going to buy it. I never play games on my mobile phone, and I don't think something like this would make me change my habits either.

Especially at those speeds. I'm not sure I could control it that fast with a regular phone.

Wow, a mobile phone trilogy? Hm.

As to whether or not the cow is out of milk, I'm gonna say no. Bring on Bioshock 2, dammit. I want to fire rockets into HERDS of Big Daddies rushing out of the sea onto the beach, sending a shot of Winter Blast 4 straight through four of them, and hacking tanks to defend my harem of grown up Sisters the Daddies have come to reclaim.

that phone is a Nokia N95. So that means it's coming to NGage? Cool, can't wait. I have Resident Evil Degeneration (yes, it's also a mobile game which plays like RE4) and do believe they can pull it off with Bioshock.

Well, if Joystiq had realized this was an N-Gage game they probably never would have reported the story. That RE Degeneration game was actually pretty good too. It's a shame Joystiq only wants to report on iPhone games. I don't mind that, but Nokia's platform is relevant enough that people on Joystiq should be made aware of it. I'm sure more than a few on here would be interested in buying a Nokia smartphone after seeing such games as Resident Evil: degeneration and "One".

BTW, to all you who are oblivious to the existence of smartphones capable of playing such games, you should really check out Joystq's sister site engadgetmobile.com. This week especially since all the major players are debuting their new handsets such as this beaut:

It looks decent, but I don't understand why they used early Bioshock footage to highlight the game.

Wait. That looks like all they did was show footage of the PC and console version. How does that show us what it will look like on a phone? I can't imagine that what they showed is an accurate depiction of what this game will look like on a phone. Even the shot of the "phone gameplay" looks like all they did was show footage shrunk onto a "phone display".

I call BULLSHOT on this BIG TIME. Remember when EA showed 360 footage of a finished version of the Wii version of Tiger Woods on TV commercials? I am sure the developer took the best footage they could to show the idea of the game on a phone.

Watched the second YouTube posting, and, yes, I can see the lower texture renders in there.

Cool, thanks. Yeah, that definitely looks like a low render version of the same basic gameplay mechanics.

Thanks guys!

OMG, if they're going to be putting Bioshock on *phones*, you'd think they could put it on the Wii. But noooo, according to these people a phone is apparently more of a gaming device than any offering from Nintendo. I got a Wii in large part because I liked the controls better for FPSes, and then a whole bunch of developers started bitching "Oh, but the Wii just can't handle this game!", but then they turn around and put it on *CELL PHONES*?!? What the hell's wrong with these people?!?

@Saria the Cat:
If you just don't want to play those games or just don't get it right, it's your problem.
Fact is that the Game exists and will be released soon.
Thats the new and better(qualiy) video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iX5BeeGUVWU
And its running on a Nokia N95.
It will be released as a 2D Java-Version, 3D Symbian 9.1-Version and for
N-Gage2.0.
So, and thats a fact!
If you still decide to disbelieve this great evolution of Mobile Gaming, its your own fault.
I for myself will wait and play it on the first day of release.
Can't wait.
And for those out there who wanted a iPhone port of it, I just have to say, I wish you all the luck in the world by playing this on that crappy device.
It don't even got buttons!
I saw the port of Quake III Arena on iPhone and on N95 and i have to say, its unplayable on the iPhone!
Aiming with the movement of the iPhone remindes me more of the Special Olympics having an Pocketgameparty than serious gaming!
So listen to me and don't waiste your thaughts on that.
The iPhone is a no-future gaming device.
