i got the demo and there were two things that stood out. one, its really hard if you've played resistance before because no more health regen and now its 3PS and there's a cover system. two, you keep feeling for the second thumbstick and keep tapping square to reload. it's hard to remember. but i figure it's gonna be a great game if you haven't played resistance before, and if you have then it'll be good after you get used to the controls.

Rising up and Retribution are the same thing...I feel...They were both down in sense and are standing back up to finish off America....

I think this is the thing I kind of like about Resistance even though I do not really like it...The story will seem like there is one big fight left and then at the end a even bigger war is still ahead. Kind of like Killzone 2...(Do not go crazy if you think that is a spoiler...How else is the game going to continue)

how about a prequel (sp?)? maybe you'd play in russia or something. i never played resistance FoM all the way through cause i just played it at a friends house a while back so i don't know all of the specifics of its origins in russia. i don't know how R3 would go (although the intel in the last levels hint at why the sky is like that you might play as a dif character if they do make a sequel)

might? you pretty much have to if they keep *SPOILERS* hale dead. and to me, the ending didn't leave much room for a sequel. i mean, the main character is dead, millions of americans are dead, and the chimeran mothership and leader are gone. what now? purging the chimera? there isn't much room for the story if they go that route.

it left plenty of room for R3. ***HUGE SPOILERS*** if you read the intel you get from co-op mode, it explains that gray tech is neither chimeran or human, meaning the chimera must have had contact with some third civilization (gray civilization) and were on earth at some point. whether they were allies or enemies of the chimera is unknown. now the towers explanation is very interesting. most scientists in the intel suggested that the towers linked together to form a shield around the earth to protect it from something (the gray civilization perhaps?) Malikov suggested that the towers form a time/space distortion bubble around the earth allowing it to teleport around the galaxy. so maybe earth was just a giant mobile battle station in a war for the galaxy.

ya, hale is dead. would you play as capelli or go along the route of retribution and add a new character? i'm just hoping there is even going to BE an R3 lol. R2 was good, but i woulda liked better offline multiplayer and better replayability for the singleplayer aside from getting intel

Can't wait for this game. it looks fun to play. The demo wasn't really good but I hope the final release will be amazing.

ya, the demo was slightly underwhelming but the R2 connectivity seems pretty neat and warrents a buy. plus the psp has been in a drought in games IMO. but i don't think that Res:retribution will never get the experience/intensity in a portable system, or really any game in comparison to their console breatherin. you need something that is shorter but has a lot of replayability (like side-missions that you can go back and do, mini-bosses, seperate story-lines, etc). also the graphics were.... average but still not bad in any way

the demo to me was slightly underwhelming. however the ps3 connectivity with R2 warrents a buy. the graphics were... average but not really setting a new standard. the gameplay was good for a psp game i guess. i felt rather removed at times, sniping was a little difficult, but that could be i was on an elevator. i think that developers need to take a hint from killzone liberation. they didn't really port their game over (not that resistance did) but really changed how the gameplay was all together. liberation gameplay is something you really don't see in any other psp game that i know of

I hope that it follows killzone liberation in having DLC

The good thing about Resistance is, the story of the universe is as deep as you want it to be.

From a simple playthrough, you'll know the gist of the story. But getting all the intel, the graphic novel by William Dietz (coming soon), the comic book series, and just all three games, there is a pretty deep and intense story there.

the thing that gets me is that its thirded person. Im not going to say its bad but i woulder why they did it in thired instead of first person, to me i would mind a thrid person shooter resistance for ps3, i know that their not a lot of competeive thrid person shooters out their but most of them are great, like warhawk and gears. Wonder if R3 is going to be thrid or first.

But then again its a different dev, its not IG, so i wonder if they make a game for the ps3

looks really good, hopefully itll tie up some loose ends. did notice the backgorund that said ¨¨rise of the chimera¨ and also could not help to notice the chimera concept art under it, that looks like some sort of aquatic chimera to me with fins!

I know they have the Furies in R2 but i mean a Aquatic Hybrid! Maybe, unlike R2 where there is no playing in the water, there might be some stage in which you get to dive in and have some action underwater like in retribution!?
