That was great. Didn't like the outcome completely, but the first red turtle shell totally made me crack up. I'm going to make my girlfriend watch this when she gets home, and I hope she doesn't think less of me after not laughing through it. (not a gamer)

It really did feel like watching Dragonball or Matrix 3.
High(ish) production values, but just falls flat. Will inspire young film makers no doubt. I say keep up the good work to all involved, just make it MORE, know what I'm saying?

For anyone wondering, the fight song is the theme to the movie 'Requiem for a Dream'. Badass song...
And on a side note, Lil Jon (rapper) used the same mix for one of his songs. I think it was called 'Throw it Up'. Listen to it, HILARIOUS :)

Yeah Mario's power-up at the end totally didn't make sense. A Feather, Fire Flower, or Star would have been great choices. Metal Mario would have been good too. Giant 8-bit Mario from the DS game might have been fun. With so many great options for a power-up, I've got to say this video failed in the end. Even though it had some great production values, the in-jokes and story-telling need work.
Oh, and the coin popping up at the end was dumb. Use the death theme music from the original Super Mario Bros. It is classic and makes sense.
