Not skimping one bit on the nostalgia factor, the "GT Nighthawk" "Cavalry Bootlegger" video employs liberal use of the General Lee horn over a slo-mo jump sequence, though Doc is unfortunately missing from the "88 Special" video. "Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads." Peruse our gallery below and then hit the jump for all four videos. That's a command!
Yes, Pumapayam, that was kind of the whole point. We know they're based on movie cars, but there'll be the inevitable "hey look they're ripping things off" comments when WE ALL KNOW they're based on them anyway!
I have yet to play Burnout, from al the reviews I've seen, it just looks like a crazy driving game, but yet they say there is a bit of realism. Ah, I find that hard, I'll be awaiting GT5 with the new crash damage physics they promised to implement.
Shame there's not some sort of way to let people sample these new-fangled game programs. Sort of like a short preview or demonstration that lets you try it out.
We could call them sheviews and give them away for free so people will get hooked and buy our products...
Ya, I'm a fan of realism, I was into arcade street racing, aka Need for Speed stuff, but as the one guy says, it's about boosting and crashes... not my style, I'm more or less interested due to it's popularity. Maybe I'll give it a rent, actually I will give it a rent
Richards, if true realisim (as far as a video game goes) give Race Pro on Xbox 360 a go or rFactor or the SimBin racers on PC a try. You'll soon realise the GT series is a long way for realisim.
Consider this purchased, alongside noby noby boy. At this juncture, it feels like criterion has given so much and stretched a $20 game so far, that it feels like they deserve my money. They haven't been nickel and dimeing, but instead making quality products. I'm looking forward to flying my new DeLorean DMC-12...er, Jensen P12...online.
ACTUALLY this is the DLC one is the Jensen 88, but the car in the game (pre dlc) is the Jensen P12 which is markedly similar the the DMC-12 which was in the 1985 Back to the future movie. Hence the similar but not identical Jensen 88.
Well, those videos saved me $4. I wanted the Delorean, but figured I'd just spend the $8 and get all 4 cars. The General Lee ripoff isn't even orange!! I'll pass. I don't care about the Knight Rider one anymore either. The waving light needs to be red. I realize they do stuff like this to not be sued or something. I'm just less interested now that I've seen them. I never cared about Ecto-1.
The Delorean looks 100 times better in motion than I thought it would. The flames are so cool. That one I'm so getting.
sitting a little buzzed this morning in front of my ps3, i ended up buying this burnout game, probably more then 500 days after its release, with the latests dlc pack too it said, i hope it will be a rewarding experience.
I don't like how the back of the 88 looks in hover mode, it'd look better if it was like a jet engine when its firing up or when the afterburners are kicking in...you know.
