rohan @ Feb 18th 2009 5:01PM
no it cost 7.99 for all three or 1.29 each or something along those lines
rohan @ Feb 18th 2009 5:04PM
opps i meant 4 not 3
Kuro @ Feb 18th 2009 5:08PM
I just want the dolorean so I'll be fine
Pumapayam @ Feb 18th 2009 5:27PM
Oops, you meant $1.99, right?
Fuzzy math, I see.
Just read this from Joystiq post from yesterday and don't confuse everyone.

SimplyB @ Feb 18th 2009 4:58PM
That looks a lot like the Ecto-1 from Ghost Busters. LoL!
Ianiscool @ Feb 18th 2009 5:01PM
i think that was the point of it
Alex @ Feb 18th 2009 6:09PM
Really?! I never noticed that!!
idiot.
xenocidic @ Feb 18th 2009 5:00PM
probably because we already established that we DO need roads
sad face
Spike @ Feb 18th 2009 5:38PM
damn it, i hope we can still get our pink mattel hoverboards in 4 years, though
AceCalibur @ Feb 19th 2009 3:21AM
OMFG the 88 Special.
*drool*
-jr- @ Feb 18th 2009 5:03PM
No its not free, its $9.99
And yes it's based on Ecto-1 from Ghost Busters.
Pumapayam @ Feb 18th 2009 5:23PM
$3.99 for the Jansen 88, $1.99 for each of the other 3 or $7.99 for all 4.
steady @ Feb 18th 2009 5:03PM
GT nighthawk? I think he meant the cavalry!
Pumapayam @ Feb 18th 2009 5:20PM
I sent a message to them.
C-Onor @ Feb 18th 2009 5:07PM
Whao, Jansen looks sick.
Timerider @ Feb 19th 2009 11:12AM
The DeLorean, I mean, Jansen 88, makes me want to buy the game.
The1stMJC @ Feb 18th 2009 5:09PM
I am waiting for someone to leave a comment saying they ripped famous cars off.
The only car I am getting is the 88 special because it is different and the other cars just don't look that special
Pumapayam @ Feb 18th 2009 5:21PM
That's the point, they intended to rip or "copy" famous cars.
It's called Legendary Pack for a reason.
Stupid comment.
Kattleox @ Feb 18th 2009 5:33PM
Somebody is busy today. >_>
Erik Tomlinson @ Feb 19th 2009 1:24AM
Yes, Pumapayam, that was kind of the whole point. We know they're based on movie cars, but there'll be the inevitable "hey look they're ripping things off" comments when WE ALL KNOW they're based on them anyway!
simblor @ Feb 18th 2009 5:11PM
The Ghost Busters car looks great, but they got the siren completely wrong :(
Boyhood Memories: Only 50% realised.
Markez @ Feb 18th 2009 5:36PM
Yeah, I haven't banged that broad from Weird Science either.
scooterbaga @ Feb 18th 2009 6:00PM
Damn shame about that siren... They got the Kitt's whooshing sound and a lot of other things spot-on about the other cars...
I think the Delorean should light up all crazy and blue along the sides when you hit a certain speed.
...They shoulda shown the cop car biff it on the jump too...
Why should I have all the fun? @ Feb 19th 2009 10:09AM
They have to get as close as they can without violating any trademarks. That might have gotten too close.
If "Land of Dixie" wasn't such a popular horn sound, they probably wouldn't have been able to use that on the "Bootlegger".
Richards | PSN: F4WMR @ Feb 18th 2009 5:09PM
I have yet to play Burnout, from al the reviews I've seen, it just looks like a crazy driving game, but yet they say there is a bit of realism. Ah, I find that hard, I'll be awaiting GT5 with the new crash damage physics they promised to implement.
why not the LS2LS7? @ Feb 18th 2009 5:29PM
If you're looking for realism, move along. Burnout is about boosting and crashing.
Deck @ Feb 18th 2009 5:31PM
There no excuse for not playing it yet! Seriously! :-P It is SO good!
Though you mention realism and I guess if you don't like any "arcadey" feel in your racing games, perhaps you may not like it.
But really... this is the best racing game out there at the moment! To me anyway, but I am not big into "pure realism" racing games.
scooterbaga @ Feb 18th 2009 5:51PM
Shame there's not some sort of way to let people sample these new-fangled game programs. Sort of like a short preview or demonstration that lets you try it out.
We could call them sheviews and give them away for free so people will get hooked and buy our products...
Richards | PSN: F4WMR @ Feb 18th 2009 6:52PM
Ya, I'm a fan of realism, I was into arcade street racing, aka Need for Speed stuff, but as the one guy says, it's about boosting and crashes... not my style, I'm more or less interested due to it's popularity. Maybe I'll give it a rent, actually I will give it a rent
skin.bintin @ Feb 19th 2009 2:32PM
Richards, if true realisim (as far as a video game goes) give Race Pro on Xbox 360 a go or rFactor or the SimBin racers on PC a try. You'll soon realise the GT series is a long way for realisim.
Kattleox @ Feb 18th 2009 5:32PM
Consider this purchased, alongside noby noby boy. At this juncture, it feels like criterion has given so much and stretched a $20 game so far, that it feels like they deserve my money. They haven't been nickel and dimeing, but instead making quality products. I'm looking forward to flying my new DeLorean DMC-12...er, Jensen P12...online.
Pumapayam @ Feb 18th 2009 5:49PM
er, it's a Jansen 88, not Jensen P12.
Okay, I am done. :P
Kattleox @ Feb 19th 2009 12:16AM
ACTUALLY this is the DLC one is the Jensen 88, but the car in the game (pre dlc) is the Jensen P12 which is markedly similar the the DMC-12 which was in the 1985 Back to the future movie. Hence the similar but not identical Jensen 88.
warioman64 @ Feb 18th 2009 5:40PM
I'm not gonna lie, these are awesome.
greg (peevmyster) @ Feb 18th 2009 5:41PM
ugh... no thanks on the mexican flag car... way to treat an ICON. American flag would be OK
Brendan H @ Feb 18th 2009 7:18PM
You can change the color of the cars, so maybe they'll be a selection of different flag skins for the top as well.
ESD3 @ Feb 18th 2009 5:43PM
This is a day one buy just for all of the free content that thy have given us
egonpax @ Feb 18th 2009 6:11PM
Looks really cool but I don't know if I'll pick it up. I haven't played BP in a while now.
McKeyDee @ Feb 18th 2009 6:21PM
I'll be getting Evey single DLC. Criterion Games deserves the money for all the free content they've been handing out to us the past year.
Tim Parsons @ Feb 18th 2009 6:31PM
the GT NightHawk as lights thats ALL?!?! I figured it would go into Attack mode
LS @ Feb 19th 2009 8:00AM
I think I noticed the spolier at the back raising too
Hoffer @ Feb 18th 2009 7:46PM
Well, those videos saved me $4. I wanted the Delorean, but figured I'd just spend the $8 and get all 4 cars. The General Lee ripoff isn't even orange!! I'll pass. I don't care about the Knight Rider one anymore either. The waving light needs to be red. I realize they do stuff like this to not be sued or something. I'm just less interested now that I've seen them. I never cared about Ecto-1.
The Delorean looks 100 times better in motion than I thought it would. The flames are so cool. That one I'm so getting.
McKeyDee @ Feb 18th 2009 7:52PM
You can change the color to orange.
Hoffer @ Feb 18th 2009 7:53PM
Oh yeah, now I'm a little more interested again. :-)
WiredKnight @ Feb 18th 2009 8:37PM
Yea the Delorean and the Ecto-1 look sweet, but the other two don't look like much more than reskins.
I'd probably get the 4 pack anyway, better value.
holdenwait @ Feb 18th 2009 7:48PM
sitting a little buzzed this morning in front of my ps3, i ended up buying this burnout game, probably more then 500 days after its release, with the latests dlc pack too it said, i hope it will be a rewarding experience.
Turbo Choppa @ Feb 18th 2009 7:56PM
You can change the Calvary Bootlegger's color to orange.
SpydaKat 17 @ Feb 18th 2009 8:21PM
I don't like how the back of the 88 looks in hover mode, it'd look better if it was like a jet engine when its firing up or when the afterburners are kicking in...you know.
Doug @ Feb 18th 2009 8:36PM
@Pumapayam:
Nothing fuzzy. 7.99 for all 4.
