Hell, I'd buy it. Admittedly Two Worlds was not "Oblivion on Steroids", and had a ton of horrendous problems, but under all the warts, it killed time while still dishing out fun.

Hopefully the dev team has learned from their mistakes, and creates a great open world rpg. (I don't forsee another iteration of The Elder Scrolls coming anytime soon).

Ah hell, who am I fooling. It'll likely suck, and being a sucker I'll end up buying it.

Also i didn't have to watch more than the trailer to know that. Ewww, Nick Cage! Two Worlds did keep me busy for a few days and was indeed generous with the gamerscore.

I find all this dissing funny. I had not heard of those games you mentioned, but when I saw SouthPeak I immediately thought of Ninjatown and Big Bang Mini on the DS. I guess they're getting better with time.

Good for them. Two Worlds is to Oblivion as Saints Row is to GTA. I'll gladly sacrifice a little polish for fun any day.

A case of, "I'll gladly pay you today for a hamburger on Tuesday."

Saints Row offered many things that GTA didn't, but still had a decent story and was overall a pretty good game, the second one even surpassed GTA IV in many ways.

Two Worlds however doesn't really do anything better than Oblivion, it certainly tried to provide on a few fronts that were overlooked by the Elder Scrolls, but pretty much failed at every one of them. Coupled with a poor fan fiction level story and lore, with bad dialogue and voice acting and you have a pretty poor game..

If you can get it for really cheap, it might almost be worth trying out.. But there's very little appeal.

No level scaling and a large quantiy of varied weapons made me love two worlds as much as oblivion. It was a technical mess, and the dialog was pretty funny, but overall I had a lot more fun with two worlds

They are not making money on console releases -- the money is made in the handheld market. And, it is shovelware like Two Worlds and My Baby that funds the better games like Big Bang Mini, Ninjatown, and Roogoo.

Malign them all you want, but these companies understand that in order to make Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed, you've got to sell some Petz and Imagine games. You want Dead Space? Well, you better buy some Madden.
