Street Fighter IV Producer Yoshinori Ono has teased the inclusion of Dee Jay and T. Hawk in the fighter to Famitsu, reports IGN. Ono apparently stated that incomplete 3D models were created of the characters, and the staff even planned out T. Hawk's combat, but no explanation was given for why the pair didn't make the four-quel. The characters are the only two fighters from Super Street Fighter II Turbo missing in SF IV.
Ono expressed that if there's enough support from the fans, the characters will be added at a later date. It's not clear if that would be DLC for the current game, or if they'd be added in a later iteration, like, Super Alpha Street Fighter IV Turbo Remix Deluxe.

i think if they wanna be serious it should come out as free dlc otherwise they'll most likely be banned in tournaments. also wonder where they will fit on the character select screen. possibly over the infinity space?

Oregon Trail was a great game, I would like to play the Native American against fireball throwing Super Saiyajins but I cannot afford to plant additional pylons.

What's the deal with T. Hawk? It sucks or is it over powered?
I miss Dee Jay,I know people who would like Karin back.
For my part I'll wait until Capcom releases Marvel Vs Capcom 3 probably in 2015 or something.

I hate T. Hawk, with a passion. Don't mind Dee Jay so much, but if he's waiting for an outcry of T. Hawk fans, he's going to be waiting a long while.
As for any future versions of it, I would really hope they are just DLC instead of having to buy another $60 game.

I am new to Street FIghter because I hate T. Hawk? Please. I have been playing since Champion Edition was in the arcade and when Super came out, he was the only one of the new challengers that I found completely useless. He has two moves, he's slow as crap, and he isn't the greatest of designs. He's also the character I hear the most complaints about and, indeed, I agree with most of them. Dee Jay isn't that great a character either, but I wouldn't mind him returning. T. Hawk, I'd be annoyed to ever see him disgrace Street Fighter again.
On the other hand, if they're going to bring back old characters, Karin would be my choice. Or Rolento, but I know Ono said he didn't want the game to be too much like the Alpha series...which is a shame, because I think the Alpha series was the pinnacle of Street Fighter, up until now, especially Gold and 3 for the Saturn and Dreamcast, respectively.

Well, that's the whole point of what I was trying to say. We previously didn't have the ability to just download an update of a game. With Street Fighter III, for example, there was no way to upgrade it, so when Third Strike or the second one (I forgot what it was called...Second Impact, I think?) came out, they had to be new titles.
Now, however, with the advent of DLC, they can continue to make new versions of a game, but they do, for example, what Betheseda did with the Shimmering Isles, where it's just some big ass $20 download or something. Couple new characters, some new movie parts, some new backgrounds, and voila, you've got Street Fighter IV Turbo, or something.
My hope is that that is the way they do the next iteration of it, rather than releasing yet another $60 full release. Whether they do that or not is something to be seen. I am merely expressing my wish of how it should be done.

*swoosh* Yes, I was talking about Capcom suckering fans into buying new "installments" every few years.
I'm sure we all wish that such changes would be released as DLC (paid DLC, I'm sure), but I doubt such changes to the game mechanics would be accepted by the developers as small enough to just be released on DLC. They are, afterall, looking to milk this cow for as long as they can and that traditionally means well-timed re-releases when fans get fidgety. I'm sure their unexpected surprise at how well the games and sticks are selling are putting them into a kind of green high and they are already coming up with plans for more content.

I just watched some videos of T Hawk to educate myself.Wow is he broken? Even in HD remix I just watched 1 combo that can let your opponent dizzy ready for another combo that K.O completly. The second combo alone can almost knock you out.
You know in MKIV there was this damage limit so you can't do more than 30% in one combo to makes things more enjoyable also that combos requiere a lot of precission in MK.In this case T Hawk combos look very simple.
But then again in Mk vs DC Kano can do a 50% combo in like 4 or 5 moves.
(Okay enough with MK references I haven't played any SF game since the Snes era unless you count Marvel Vs games)

And yet Capcom just said that they wouldn't be doing downloadable characters before the game launched because they wanted everyone to have the same experience playing the game.

The game is Street Fighter IV, not Street Fighter IV and Friends. You're getting the exact same game as the Arcade, but with more features and customization. In my eyes, in this instance, you really have no right to be upset that these characters were not included in the game.

What about Alex and Elena from SFIII? Alex was tailor made to be in SFIV since he's already buffed out like everyone in SFIV and Elena's sexy buns and Chun Li-sized thighs would fit right in.
Just leave out the stupid characters like Necro, Oro and Hugo. Basically anyone with a name ended in "o" shouldn't be allowed in the game. Except for Makoto. He was cool. Oh yeah, and whatever the heck Twelve was. Leave him out too.
