It appears the FightPad on the other hand isn't fairing so well -

It's a MadCatz product too. What did anyone expect?

After using it for six hours last night, I can honestly say it is the best thing to happen to fighting games on the 360 yet. I was able to pull off moves just like when I used to play Alpha on Saturn.

It's very popular to hate on a company like MadCatz, but if you're going to do it, at least wait until a thread where they are doing something bad, not something good.

Putting a number on it like that is probably not a wise move. Putting a ridiculously low number like that on it is an even worse move.

Guile handcuffs ruled though. EGM was like a window into the forbidden zone back when that glitch started coming up; I knew I'd never be able to pull off some "unintended" move like that.

Argh. People started hearing about all these Madcatz problems and bought up the Hori Real Arcade Pro EX stick on Amazon, so it's now sold out and going for like 300 bucks for the few remaining vendors there that have it. Hope they make more.

A good alternative to getting one of the (now) overpriced Hori is to build your own. Not really too hard, plus allows you to create it for as many systems as you want (mine is currently PSX/PS3/PC)

Europe still hasn't got SF4.... tomorrow is the day of reckoning for us Europeans.

I've never ever bought a fighter when it first comes out, so tomorrow will be the exception. Only just got enough for SF4 though, never mind an arcade stick as well so I'm gonna live with the PS3 Dualshock for now.

Anyone know of any relatively cheap but good arcade sticks for the PS3 which doesn't cost a bomb to ship to the UK?

When I'm disappointed in a game - or hardware as in this case - it usually ends up on Ebay or Amazon. Or sometimes I convince a friend to trade it for something I want. No complaints though. May

Either way, anything that ends with a Z should be approached with extreme caution. Mad Catz included.

I think they mean 'well under fifty percent', because I know that almost EVERYONE on the SRK forums that bought one is having a problem with them. I did. I had to fix it myself, just as CUSTOMER SERVICE suggested I do. Good thing I'm experienced with that. What percentage of people do you think can actually fix this themselves?

Gamestop will not take these sticks back anymore because there have been so many problems with them. They suggest you call MC customer service for repair. But you know what? They put you on hold on a long distance number. Then, they make you leave a message. Then, you hope they call you back. Or, you can send an email. I suggest taking your money to Hori instead. I think those are crap too, but better than Mad Catz for those who can't buy a custom.

And you know what? This guy is a real jackass for coming out like this and denying the fact that they are messed up. They have a really good product on their hand with the TE stick, I don't know why they can't just say something like "we know about the problem and are working on it" instead of denying it.

In their defense, the amount of complaints DID go down once they stuck their fingers in their ears, closed their eyes, and started saying "LALALALALALALA" rather loudly.

'Alex Verrey, issued an official response explaining that all effected sticks will be repaired free of charged.'

'It is my personal belief that the notion that this issue (Which has only surfaced in the last 48 hours or so) has in any way affected our company's stock price is slightly fanciful to say the least.'

Did 1up lay off all their literate employees? Where are their editors? This article is incredibly poorly written. At least he seems to actually get affect/effect correctly in this last sentence, the only time the article does.

My standard edition fightstick stopped recognizing the left direction which is, you know, a very bad thing in a fighting game. The worst part is that I went to gamestop and they said I can't even get a refund. They have some deal with Madcatz that I can only send it into Madcatz directly to get it fixed or replaced. Some bull****.

when I think of top notch name brands, at the very bottom of that list, after imported knock offs from Mexico or China, THEN I think of Madcatz.

Hori or nothing.
