'Titan Pack' coming to Unreal Tournament 3 on March 5th

Midway and Epic Games have decided to Titan up the graphics on Unreal Tournament 3 with the addition of an extensive new map pack, dubbed the "Titan Pack." The free download, aimed exclusively at the PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the first-person fragger, will add 11 new multiplayer maps for several of the game's modes, as well as eight maps culled from the Xbox 360 version and a prior bonus pack.

Our pals at Big Download have a hands-on preview of the content, including its two new modes: Greed mode, a "tug-of-war" style points battle; and Betrayal mode, which prompts you to tactfully turn on teammates if you feel like swiping the score for yourself. More intriguing is the new Titan mutator, which turns a skilled player into a towering Behemoth, excitedly described by the press release as "a 15-foot tall maestro of wholesale carnage that has the effects of every Power Up in the game... ALL AT ONCE!!!"

Finally, the Titan Pack expands Unreal Tournament 3's array of deployed equipment, Trophies (Steam Achievements for the PC version) and turrets. ALL AT ONCE!!! Look for it on Thursday, March 5th.

[Update: When asked about a 360 version, Midway explained that this update will bring many of the enhancements already included in the Xbox release to the PS3 and PC. "Given the file size requirements for updates on the Xbox 360 platform, we have no plans to release the Titan Pack for Xbox 360."]

So the 360 will get nothing? I like UT3, but will sacrifice content for this in order to have exclusives in Fallout and GTA. No sweat.

Yeah who wouldn't for Fallout but GTA really? You still play that? I would bet money it's the last time Microsoft pays anyone 50million for exclusive DLC I do not think they can make that money back of course I doubt they care that much.

I'm starting to not regret buying this for $8.

Now I can play this with friends on the couch, though I doubt it will get as much play as Warhawk.

Warhawk, most underrated game evarrrrr. I am still addicted to it.

I wish warhawk would get some more DLC -TLC from Incognito.

There's 3 DLC packs for Warhawk but they seem a bit overpriced to me, especially since I haven't ever gotten sick of the core game.
I'll probably pick up the packs when they have a sale or something like all three for $10. I always wait for the sale; except for Noby Noby Boy, I'm getting that today as soon as I get home.

I picked it up the night it dropped to $10. After a few matches I have to say it was probably worth the original price although I don't see any servers with all three new vehicles in play.
I haven't even been in the flying APC, though I have blown up a couple.

I have been playing this game since it came out for my PS3 back in December of 2007(and at full price no less).

But i stopped playing it online in June, because (as already Stated here) the people who are still playing are Insanely good. But i still play it for instant Action Vs. Bots (UT3 hs some of the Smartest and Hardest Bots around) and the mods.

but if online becomes more populated because of this update, i might start again!

The Maps sound sweet, TURRETS, sweet!, Trophies..........i just wet myself.

updates and free maps are cool and all...but how about bringing back Assault!

Dunno if this was already mention, but, what is Killing UT3 is not being able to Download maps and mods from a Host. They really need to allow that like PC version has.

Hopefully that will now be possible with the added mod browser for the ps3.

That reminds me, I need to download those 3rd person camera mods!

I bought this early and was shocked to see how dead online was, It was a fairly fun game. I really wish they went through making PC/PS3 servers compatible, sure PC users might have an edge with quick aiming but I personally believe since it's a twitch shooter anyway the difference isn't huge (considering how much damage most of the guns do) plus those who chose can plug a mouse and keyboard in.

Also what happened to that mode in the 2K4 demo where you basically were human basketballs? If there was one main complaint with that game is that the modes were either really crowded deathmatches or way too open other ones.

An amazing game I bought, but didn't play much. I can't wait for the trophies though, since I'll be playing like hell then. Plus, 11 new maps!!! Awesome!!!

Sweet, I may have to play this for the third time since I bought it. The lag was always unbearable and it didn't seem like it had experience level filtering, so you couldn't find a match with other noobs to play with.

YES! Love ut3 but I would be even more happy if Bombing Run from ut2k4 made its way to ut3.

Gee thanks Epic...about a year and half after release we get some recycled content and a handful of new? We got way more lovin in the first year after 2K4....yay, new maps for the empty servers to host! 2K4 has more servers/players on every time I hop on there than UT3. I guess Slow As Halo and Texture Pop weren't features that Unreal players wanted after all. A shame, really, they went so well with Cumbersome Editing Software for mods.

Haven't played it for a while, but I'm sure as hell toying around with the editor.

Well, it seems like there are more than enough players that will (re)enter this game Thursday.
I hopped on Amazon and copped it for $15 as soon as I saw Trophies, I guess I figured people would boost their prices the sooner they heard that there was something that would attract more buyers.
Also, from my recent experience I haven't played a single game where there was any lag at all.
