Back in October, a trademark appeared in the US trademark database for a piece of "game software" called Rabbids Go Home. According to the résumé of programmer Julien Delezenne, it's -- surprise! -- a Wii game from Ubisoft. Apparently, it's also still in the works, at least as of whenever this document was compiled: Delezenne has been working on it from "November 2007 - Present."
Delezenne describes his duties on the title as relating to the "Engine and Tools on the LyN technology ... " Now here's where it gets a bit interesting. He said that he works on that technology "for Rabbids Go Home (Wii) and Beyond Good & Evil 2 (360/PS3)." Shared technology between a super-silly Wii minigame sequel and the high-profile 360/PS3 adventure title? It's promising for the state of Ubisoft's budgets, but also kind of hilarious.

I wouldn't call BG&E2 high profile, at least not given the predecessor's sales
Hidden gem, or something like it, but not high profile

I didn't espect BG&E 2 on Wii, but what about PC? Now I'm sad, I hope it either is announced for PC or gets ported soon after...

Just because they shared a resource doesn't mean they share technology...
Oh, and how can anyone get by with just a Wii? PS3/XBox360 is worth the price just for the upcoming BG&E2 IMHO...

I know, I'm considering purchasing a BlueRay/BG&E2 player.

I find all these hardcore gamer comments pretty hilarious. I'm a 28 year old who gets by fine with just my wii. So far I've picked up and enjoyed Resident Evil 4: Wii, Umbrella Chronicles, Zack And Wiki, Mario Kart, Smash Bros. Brawl, Chocobo's Dungeon, Guilty Gear: Accent Core, Metal Slug Anthology, SNK Arcade Classics: Vol. 1, King Of Fighters: Orochi Saga, Naruto: Clash Of Ninja Revolution 2, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, No More Heroes, Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3:Corruption, Okami, and Super Mario Galaxy, as well as downloaded Kid Icarus, Ghosts N' Goblins, Mega Man 2, Punch-Out!!, Super Mario Bros. 1-3, Super Street Fighter 2, Sin & Punishment, and Star Soldier R via VC/WiiWare. I really don't know how I'm getting by with just this little ol' Wii.

I really don't care about BG&E, but I can't stand the Rabbids being in part of YET another mini-game fest. PLEASE, UBISOFT, give them a true platformer game with Rayman!

At this point, having an actual Rayman game would confuse most (non-core-gamer) Wii owners...
They'd all be "Wait... this ISN'T a minigame?! ...crap."
Rabbids have become so much a part of the Wii minigame list, it's almost impossible to see anything with the name "Rayman" not have "Raving" after it.

I am sure they can find a way.
"FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! The Rabbids have their own adventure in the world of that Mii-looking guy (points to Rayman)!"
Or something along the lines. >.>

Actually I think the first Raving Rabbids was made using the "Jade" -engine from Beyong Good & Evil. So making the latter games with similar technology would make sense?

Maybe this new title "Rabbids Go Home" actually is a Rayman platformer where Rayman finally gets to kick their arses in a fist to plunger fight!
Okay, it's probably not going to be such a game, especially since it's a Wii exclusive and that there has been so many Rabbid games now with Rayman in the title. But that's not a reason NOT to hope for a new Rayman platformer to come out soon, is it?
