Mass Effect 2 teaser suggests grim fate of Shepard & co.

Looks like BioWare is ready to start hyping up the (multiplatform) Mass Effect 2. This initial teaser summarizes the key events of the first game -- the induction of the first human Spectre, his alliance with key alien partners -- and then teases quite an ominous fate for Shepard and the gang. "Killed in Action," you say? We don't quite believe that. Nay, we don't want to believe it.

I think I've played through it 5 times now but the asari ally achievement just won't unlock grrrrrrrr, anybody else had this issue? Anywho I can sum up the trailer in one word AWESOME!!!

Sythe-
You can't do any quests in the citadel except the ones that get you off the citadel. After that, get liara and do all the citadel quests and practically every other quest in the game. NOT JUST THE STORY QUESTS. I got this achievement my first time through and it actually unlocked for me just as I finished up the 3rd story planet (I can't remember the name, but it's the planet you nuke). But you must do many many other random quests.

I played through the game as every class....ya I know.

I went through I think 8 plays with 3 different characters. 2 of which I maxed and will use for Mass Effect 2 (however they plan on doing that).

I hated the game while I was playing it, but I just couldn't stop myself from playing it. It has a really good story, great voice acting, and despite all the frustrating bugs and loading I can admit it was a lot of fun to get all 1000G.

I passed on Bring Down the Sky though. Not worth $5.

Bring down the sky was fun and it added some gameplay additions that should have been in the game from the get go. Like shielded turrets and moving turrets, amongst other things. For five bucks, how could it not be worth it?

I just bought Mass Effect for $11 and all I can say is I wish I bought it a year ago.

Could Shephard die? Maybe. Or more likely everyone else is going to die and the whole thing will be a big cryfest.

Probably will be 360/PC but soon there will be no such thing as third party exclusives.

tbh, though im not getting my hopes too high, as i think multi does mean 360+PC (although alot of 360 fanboys would concidder that exclusive for some reason), its still very possable it could appear on ps3. Now published by EA, im sure they would be pushing for ps3 release, and im very certain the demand would be there, despite the lack of the original

Behold the wild console fanboy, constantly raving about how their console is better than the other, watch as he downvotes any opinion other than his own, and laugh as you see they care far too much what people think about their chosen brand.
Seriously though.
I just play what I can afford, if it's not on my console I don't cry over it.
LBP would have been nice, and so would MGS4, but I don't have a PS3.
Oh well.

O M G I just shat myself. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK IN THOSE ELEVATORS!!!

Today is officially the best day of 2009 so far! First I get my car back from the bodyshop, then I get my midterm grades back ( =D ) and now THIS!

On a lighter note, hopefully the load times will be even better than Mass Effect 1 (when installed on the HDD).

To be perfectly honest, the load times never really bugged me either considering the scope of the game.

BUT, what did bother me was how long it would take for some of the textures to load when you entered a new area. Then again, that all stopped once the NXE came out and you were able to install it to the hard drive.

It looked to me like a fate worse than death for Shepard. It seems that the Geth there has N7 armor that Shepard wears... I think they are implying that Shepard got turned into a Geth. Then again this could be blatantly obvious to all of you and none of you are saying it :P

What about the likes of the husks and as well as Saren at the end of the game. If perhaps Shepard came in contact with another Reaper ship then a Sovereign like ship could have turned him. I also did realize after I made that comment that they never were so Geth like after the transformation. So I guess it is unlikely unless the deemed Shepard to be such a valuable commodity that his transformation had to be more through. And perhaps he only lost his armor to the Geth. I guess it was a fun bit of speculating that is all.
