WRUP: Dragon Ball Z or Dragon Ball 'Zed' edition
For this week's
WRUP we'd like to take a moment and celebrate the diversity of our readership ... well, the diversity of those who read English (or American), anyway. Although the comments section can sometimes turn into nationalistic flame wars, it's still great to have an audience that represents all the rounded corners of the globe. The variety of idioms and regional words (lift vs. elevator) is wonderful. The internet is a beautiful thing for bringing us together. So, whether you pronounce Z as "zed" or "zee," what's everyone playing this weekend?
- Alexander Sliwinski: Playing more Galactrix. Only got an hour in earlier in the week and have been itching for more. Also, got Mirror's Edge from GameFly.
- Andrew Yoon: Going to play some Mirror's Edge, now that the Pure Time Trial is out. Then, I'll jump on the 360 to play some GTA: Lost and the Damned. Finally, gonna chill with some Noby Noby Boy. Hopefully, I'll "get" it.
- Ben Gilbert: Playing Halo Wars and Flower, intermixed with recording the JPAG Show on Sunday. Also playing the "Go drink delicious beers in West Philly" game -- which sounds better to you?
- Christopher Grant: Ten missions down in Halo Wars, with five missions to go. With that completed, I'll have no excuse but to return to Fallout 3. Oh, and I'm pretty sure my 360 is about to die. Again. When the NXE takes 10 seconds to load the Guide, that's bad right?
- David Hinkle: My friends bugged me to get Street Fighter IV, so I did. Sakura and C. Viper are like the toughest women on the planet. I'm also up to Interval 04 in FEAR 2, so I want to try and finish that this weekend. Then there's this monkey on my back with a Lancer chainsawing me stupid.
- Dustin Burg: Playing some Gears of War 2 and I just might play a few Halo 3 matches. New multiplayer maps tend to lure me back in.
- Griffin McElroy: Well, I've just purchased Pokemon Fire Red in order to hype myself up for the release of Platinum, a fact I'm not especially proud of. However, I plan on playing this piping hot copy of 50 Cent: Blood in the Sand this weekend as well. On the manhood spectrum, I think I've reached a happy medium.
- James Ransom-Wiley: Surprisingly, after beating up Ludwig for his lunch money -- again -- I wasn't feeling hungry today. So then ... Noby Noby Boy it is!
- Jason Dobson: Gonna likely be owned by some random kid in the Street Fighter IV tourney going down at the local GameStop. This will be followed by hours spent wallowing in self-pity.
- Jem Alexander: This week I'll be playing University Work: Oh My God I'm So Behind. Fun game, but it's outstaying its welcome a bit. If there's time I might finally beat those last two levels in Killzone 2 or explore Albion a bit more, but that's probably not very likely.
- JC Fletcher: I still have plenty of Retro Game Challenge to enjoy, which is actually a wonderful thing to think about. I'll probably play a bit of Dokapon Kingdom with my wife as well, but most of the weekend will be dedicated to packing boxes. I guess that's sort of like Sokoban, except that the only puzzle to solve is why I have so much junk.
- Justin McElroy: You can't find me in da club, bottle full of bub, as I'll be too busy playing 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. Review coming Tuesday.
- Kevin Kelly: Playing my way through GTA's The Lost and Damned while still loving the heck out of the Williams Collection pinball game on the Wii. I'm also seeing every Best Picture nominated Oscar movie on Saturday at an AMC Showcase thing. That's 11 hours of movies, folks. After that I'm playing this game called "Sleep."
- Ludwig Kietzmann: I'll be deciphering the curious and enigmatic Noby Noby Boy. And in my continuing playthrough of Resident Evil 4 on Wii, I'll be relishing each opportunity to remind Saddler that he's small time.
- Majed Athab: Playing Street Fighter IV at the moment. Also picked up Noby Noby Boy the other day but haven't spent time with it yet. And, if I've got time, I'll replay the Afro Samurai demo. It's actually quiet fun.
- Randy Nelson: Street Fighter IV. And, if I have time for it (doubtful), Noby Noby Boy. Even with the Legendary Cars, Burnout Paradise is going to have to take the weekend -- perhaps the next dozen or so -- off.
- Richard Mitchell: Still trying to find out if Far Cry 2 ever actually ends. It's really more a test of will than anything else at this point. I'm also still really enjoying Halo Wars (in case you haven't heard). Mirror's Edge showed up from GameFly, so I might give that a go.
- Xav de Matos: Halo 3 Mythic Maps and more Street Fighter IV than you can handle.
- Justin Glow: (10111001110111011)
