lol...the only reason why it's name is different from the jap and korean versions are because they sold like bullturd.

The game is an ok game. Actually, i think it sucks.

i played the demo that's available out on the web. its in korean, but you can still get a sense for the gameplay. it doesn't suck. its actually quite an interesting title. try the demo and see if your opinion changes good sir.

The original Astonisha Story was a PC game that's ten years old. This is a fairly recent sequel designed for the PSP. So it's not a port.

hmm well since i offended a few people, let me try a different wording. i want an RPG that DOESN'T use sprites, isn't crisis core, isn't turn based (FFT:WOTL is enough for me). these to ME look just like they took old games, gave 'em a little new paint, and threw them onto our handheld.

No one is offended. It's just that a great many RPG's for the PSP are, in fact, ports of PC or PSX games. This is the rare instance in which that is not true.

As to action RPGs - the psp has a fair number. Have you ever tried Dungeon Maker II? It's surprisingly awesome.

And if you like Final Fantasy Tactics - which was a port - then there are a TON of strategy games like that for the PSP. And yes, some aren't ports, like Jean D'arc, or Lord of the Rings Tactics, which isn't the greatest game in the world but is, never the less, fun.

ya, i felt like a moron after i brought of FFT, cause i was thinking, wait... didn't that come out like 10 years ago? but i've seen dungeon maker, dunno if i'm gonna pick it up but its definitely something to look at i guess. i guess i'm looking for something like a traditional final fantasy game or something along those lines (btw isn't persona being brought to the psp?)

btw, why did i get voted down on my 2nd comment? isn't the majority of the jrpgs, which are what i'm looking for, using sprites? maybe i'm just thinking this game and star ocean and FFT, but still

How long does it take to finish the existing demo approximately?

monster hunter doesn't do a lot for me, and Valhalla knights wasn't that great IMO either. demo didn't do a lot for me. oh well, i guess in time there will be the game i'm looking for. just don't know why i got voted down for saying what i've been noticing

Not sure why people are down on ports. I mean, some of the best games on the DS (Chrono Trigger, FF IV) are ports!

RPG ports are awesome on the PSP, because you can play anywhere and start up instantly from where you left off. I was shocked to realize that I enjoyed playing RPGs more on the PSP than on a full-sized console hooked up to a TV.

I say bring on more porty goodness like: Valkyrie Profile, FF Tactics, Disgaea, Tales of Eternia, Popolocrois, etc.. I'm definitely looking forward to the Persona 1 remake (and sad that the Suikoden remake seems to be Japan-only...) In particular I'd like to see more Squaresoft games (on PSP and PSN for that matter!)

Of course, there's nothing wrong with non-ports like Crisis Core, Jeanne D'arc, Brave Story, Tales of the World, Wild Arms XF, Kingdom of Paradise, Monster Hunter, etc..

Oh yeah, forgot Star Ocean 1 & 2 on the porty goodness list. And Disgaea 2, another great upcoming port which I'd probably rather play on the PSP than on the PS2.

I'm surprised there isn't an RPG premium to make it $40 as usual. The original RPGs made for DS or PSP don't excite me much but I'm willing to wait and see. What I would rather have is ports or remakes of both Lunar games.

While nearly any RPG on PSP is a good RPG by this point, I have to wonder why they didn't go for any number of -better ones-. =_=

This is especially pointless as it's already available in English. You can probably buy the import for the same price, or not much more.

I imagine it will have a better translation since it's from Atlus, but the gameplay will likely be the same...

You've got a point. There are better choices for localization out there, such as Kingdom of Paradise 2, Rezel Cross, etc... but as things are now, I'm surprised Atlus is even bothering to bring games to the US PSP. There are almost no new games out there besides Prinny (Which is great BTW) so gotta love those guys... they keep supporting the handheld no matter what.

Been waiting for this, awesome news. I really enjoyed the demo. Can't beat the price, either. A game I want that I can actually afford, imagine that.

Thanks again Atlus, you continue to step up in my developer list.
