Looks cool, but I won't buy it because they left trophies out for PS3 users. Why should I support these guys if they won't support me? Implement custom soundtracks and DLC trophies like on 360, then we'll talk.

Yeah, seriously... I mean the songs on the soundtrack aren't bad, but why should I have to bother with them when I have 5,000+ songs on my hard drive?

What are you talking about? Skate 2 has trophies, although I do want Sony to implement the XMB music player universally without developers implementing it in their games, like the Xbox 360. I wonder why Sony left that out..

I'm talking about the DLC not coming with additional trophies, like it does on 360.

The demo is pretty misleading, it's hard as hell though, but that's coming from a non skateboarder and a fan of old school tony hawk games

The demo was *VERY* misleading. I had to play through it a few times before I started to like it. Then basically I realized it's the same as skate 1, but with a much more fleshed out trick system.
I purchased Skate 2 on day 1 and have played it non-stop since. It's got awesome online co-op missions (if you have RL friends to play with), new modes, a much more lax missions system. It lets your warp to missions when you feel like doing them, or if not just feel free to cruise. The demo initially turned me off because it felt very arcadey, very rushed, and completely out of context for the series. Thank god that was just the demo though.

That's my full initial reaction and growth of the demo. If that matches your feelings, you'll probably like the full version.

Yeah, i was worried about Skate 2 when i played the demo, but i purchased it on day 1 anyway and now i have put well over 30 hours into it. I really love this game and i'm going to get this dlc as soon as i can afford to buy some points.

the demo is really bad, but that didnt stop me i was still addicted to it. i loved skate 1 though, and bought skate 2 on day 1 and i must say its even better than the first the hall of meat challenges sold me. i dont wanna spoil the game but theres some serious ass drops in this game.

You will not regret it. Its better than Skate. They added a lot of nice little things. Its in no way perfected but its a worthy sequel to Skate.
The ability to get off your board (even though those controls are rather odd) and run up stairs becomes very, very handy.

I can't think of anything misleading about the demo whatsoever, except maybe that the frame rate was much more stable than it turned out being in the retail game.

HUGE fan of realistic skating in skate, I just picked up skate 2 yesterday and so far so good. i much prefer it to Skate simply for the fact you can get off your board so its easier to set up runs. Ohh and being able to move benches, ramps and rails is really nice also.
The new matrix plaza rocks, my favorite spot so far. They have these AWESOME flat banks to curbs.

I recommend everyone to buy Skate 2 and everyone that has Skate 2 to buy this pack, it's really fun. In this pack you get the Fantasy Plaza, some street skating spots around it, a new spillway/dam like place with objects to place around, a little second floor area with some half pipe stuff and a bench, and the huge rooftop area, and this is all only 400 points, a great DLC for a great price. Another cool thing, when you go online on this map you have the movable objects placed around so it doesn't feel empty like some other places online, which the movable objects are completely gone.

I am LOVING this DLC! I too like the fact that there isn't areas taken up with vert ramps. Street skating is great in Skate 2!
For $5, this DLC is great. If you enjoyed Skate, buy Skate 2 asap! If you have Skate 2, buy this DLC. Its cheap, and to pass it up would be a big mistake!

yeah the demo for skate 2 doesnt do it justice, i actually went back to playing the first demo just because the 2nd one sucked.
the game itsself is a LOT better though, much more fun to play and as always you can spend hours in one random spot just fucking around and having fun.
the map is much better, and once you start doing the career stuff you open up TONS of locations so you can warp all over the place to cool spots.

At first glance, this DLC looked a bit rubbish - but I might get it now I have seen the vid.
Roll on the next downloadable content though - the San Van Classics pack.
That will be good.
