I can't find a reason to switch it on.. only play Wii Golf, Boxing or bowling.. I used the Game Cube part more than anything.. this year, I've had a round of 9 holes, & switched it on to add to my network.. had mine since launch, had about 3 months use..

I used to play my Wii, way back when it had, at the very least, a slow-but-steady flow of games. These last eight months have been really bad for the Wii, worse than I've ever seen for a main console. At least we have a bunch of good games on the horizon.

Interesting statement that the xbox 360 will be played more than the Wii or PS3 combined... I would agree, providing your 360 actually works. As for me, I have sent mine in 8 times for different problems (4 RRoD, 2 DVD drive failures, 2 freezing screen problems), and am fed up with it by now. And its an Elite with Falcon chips btw.

As for my 20GB PS3 (now a 320GB), that has gotten way more use than my 360 ever will, simply for the fact that it works.

As for the Wii, and everyone who is single should listen to this one: Girls love the Wii. I am serious, if you go on a date and want to "seal the deal", have a game of Strip-Bowling, it works like a charm.

When you look at install base vs. # of copies sold for most games, the Wii doesn't hold up percentage wise to the other two systems. Yeah, the Wii and DS help move a lot of games, but as far as the Wii goes, the only reason you're seeing as many games being moved is because there's so many Wii's out there.

Back in the fall, data was showing that the Wii and PS3 attachment rates were almost identical. (Off by like two tenths of a game or something.)

And this matters how? Copies sold is copies sold. I didn't realize special prizes were handed out for attach rates. Let's stop with the desperate fanboy arguments and just deal with the facts, which won't change how much you play and enjoy the console of your choice.

Nintendo has a philosophy different from Sony and MS and has succeeded at it.

I'll say one thing in Nintendo's favor, which I'm glad they punched a big fat hole in Microsoft's assumption that the first console to market and first to 10 million "wins" the generation because I think gamers would be the poorer if such an assumption were held as true. We'd see more poorly designed and manufactured products in the rush to hit the market first. Instead, Nintendo has proven what the PS2 did--that the most successful console isn't necessarily the most powerful or the first to market. Instead, companies can do different things to make a console succeed.

I know exactly what you mean. It hasn't had anything new (that's good) in a long while. Luckily for those of us with a Wii Madworld is coming out in March.

I've actually been in the same boat too. Nothing new on the little white box since Sonic Unleashed, but that trend will end with MadWorld, and continue with one or more new games a month straight through the end of the year, unless Nintendo completely blows their holiday lineup (which is possible, but doubtful for two years in a row. They simply have to have something)

DS picked up the slack neatly, however. Fire Emblem SD is good fun

Seriously. If you can't find any good Wii games to play this month, you're not paying attention.

People have different tastes in games. I don't want a light gun game so House of the dead is a no go and though Deadly Creatures looks decent it's not something I would want to buy for full price especially with Killzone 2 and Resident Evil 5 releasing in the next few weeks. The last Wii games we bought were Wario shake it and mario party.

I was just thinking about how the PS3 would probably make its way back up there thanks to the FFXIII titles coming out for it (360 too, but we're talking about Japan here), but then I remembered that the Wii has not only MH3, but DQ10 hitting it.

Possible. Japan is Nintendo's trouble market, so they are going to be making an effort to put on the pressure over there. Monster Hunter 3 will help, but Nintendo needs to do more

I think your underestimating the effect of Yakuza 3, Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5 and Halo Wars. There is no way the Wii will have more consoles world wide than the PS360 by this summer.

Dude, there are a couple of WiiGames that might do the trick. Besides, whoever is interested in the games you stated already has a PS360, while many who had sold their Wii had said to buy another ffor many of this upcomming Wii. Which mean, more WiiSales

You wont replug it if:
You hate your wii/nintendo
You hate to buy games
You want PS3 /x360/Pc games that wont specifically come for WII(see part 2).
If i hated my 360 i wouldnt play it no matter how many games came for it either.
I mean there are loads of good unique interesting wii games atm to buy that are exclusive for it,and loads coming.The library is huge after removing all the shovelware and releases are pretty plentiful and they are happening waaay more often than 2 years ago.Id agree with the comment aeons ago but i pay attention and actually give a shot to the release titles,and id be hypocrite to say that i cant find a reason to play my wii in 2k9.
Regarding PS3 launches like Killzone2(another shooter woopedoo), or RE5(which im not so hyped for since its maker is not working on it and the demo wasnt really smoth), last year MG4(great game) and GT4 launched and they didnt hurt Nintendo one bit,and last year nintendo had less releases than this year has scheduled.I dont know how or why it should be different.And Halo wars?it catters other market, and is not gonna be as popular as the main franchise.And the reviews arent particularly favoring it.Again, Halo 3 release didnt hurt nintendo and we expect a strategy spin off to do it?...Anyway lets try to be objective here.Nintendo sucks-MS sucks-Ps3 sucks are no arguments here.

If I hated Nintendo, I wouldn't have bought a Wii. Nor would I care. I'm not a troll, and I am remaining as objective as possible.
